Wrongfully banned for other person's voice chat of discrimination

Hi, I am posting this here because I have no clue why this happen and I do not like me having a record of ban over something I didn’t even do.

I was voice chatting and engaged in someone who speak Spanish, keep calling me something with Chinese derogatories.

I told him to stop in voice chat and report, moved away and myself got 1 day banned for “Discriminatory Content”.

  1. Is this thing suppose to be common?

  2. Do they even check 1 day ban appeal?

  3. Are 1 day ban going to have impact on my account safety? something like, possibility of getting perma banned just because I have record of warning.

Definitely still try to appeal, but again it is just a one day ban so, what mightve happened is that your headset’s microphone mightve picked up his audio and sent it through your own minecrophone.

My headset has good sound isolation from microphone, so I don’t really think it’s caused by that but will try appeal again.

You never know, I’ve gotten warned from my mic accidentally picking up audio, as well as the fact roblox wouldnt moderate you for the actions of others.

I know my microphone and headphone from spec and it’s material used for ear cup, sound coming from mic is isolated 100%, tested several times and never failed. so i doubt it’s coming from mic picking up his racial slur.

one time somebody was bullying in a server I was in so a moderator decided to ban all seven people in the server for the same reason for 1 day, maybe the moderator you had made a crucial mistake and shouldn’t be

I think you mistaken my topic as Group ban, if that’s the case I am talking about offical Roblox moderation AI or whatever this thing is

no, an actual roblox moderator did this. but then again we were all getting eacother banned and falesely reporting

  1. Yes, it is relatively common on Roblox. When you’re engaged in voice chat, text chat, or gameplay conflicts with other users, leading to say inappropriate things or mutual account reports, both of you receive a one-day ban as a warning. That’s why it’s advisable to have a separate account for development and playing, or to play alone and completely ignore everyone else and all social features.

  2. No, it’s generally useless to appeal a one-day ban, since Roblox support can take up to a week to respond to your request.

  3. Yes and no. This ban could impact your DevEx requests for the next 6 to 12 months, but it won’t affect your account directly unless you get banned again within that period. In that case, a longer ban or account termination may occur. Otherwise, not getting banned for a long time “resets” your account’s moderation status, and being banned again for a minor infraction will also result in a one-day ban.

Something like this happened to me recently, not sure if the other end even received punishment for this and even after pleading my case moderation denied my appeals.

At first glance, it looks interesting. I would rather wait for that day at your place. But you can still contact the support team and see what they will cook for you.

That’s really bad for me, I was working on DevEx IRS document.

Not sure what can I do to avoid DevEx delay, thanks for telling me all this.

This is my second time getting banned for someone else’s misbehavior, but previous one was text and I didn’t know even with voice chat record or something, I’d get mislabelled as instigator and get banned.
