I’m building this WWII German style military checkpoint, the place feels rather bland, but i’m not sure what to add.

I suggest changing colors of the trees, as it looks repetitive. Maybe add bunkers or some trenches to make it look less bland. Change the skybox and the baseplate shape too. If it’s a normal rectangle it’s less lively. Also, you can add broken down houses or sheds to make it look more realistic.

It looks really good but if you want to make it less plain I’d recommend adding in fog which will help cover the edge of the map and maybe consider adding some small hills.

Looks good (from the perspective of a history nerd) I would add some artillery behind the wall or make the wall thinker and put it on the top of the wall.
Maybe add an air raid siren behind the wall and make a border pass port check area too like in many border games you see.
