As you are probably aware yar went under some pretty massive changes today, a lot of you are confused and upset about this and this post will hopefully address all of that.
Gems were added to the game to balance the blocks between the higher and lowered level players, the reason we did this was because with coins being the only currency, players could easily obtain thousands of blocks within minutes of gameplay. Gems gives us the ability to slowly scale blocks, yet scale cargo at a quicker rate. With this, we can make changes to the block limit because players won’t be able to obtain thousands of low tiered blocks within a few minutes.
What happened to my level?
All levels were lowered based on the same amount, don’t worry all future updates of the game will keep this in mind. For example, level 400 is now level 36, although it seems like you lost levels, as XP is WAY harder to obtain level 36 is still a high level. Future updates such as the Infinite World will most likely require level 25, which would equal over level 200 before the update.
What if I owned a boat size gamepass?
Currently as the block limit exists, both gamepasses give what they originally did, however, the double limit gamepass now gives you 1000. If the block limit is ever removed these passes will get extra rewards.
So my coins are useless now???
No not at all, although you might have no issue affording the cargo, coins will be used for a ton of things to come such as gear and cargo in other worlds. You have to remember that today is the first official launch day so we are still don’t have tons of content.
I still hate this update!
And if you do that’s fine, but the threats and the general toxicity towards it will not help further development, if you dislike the update my messages are open and if you explain why you strongly dislike the changes we can certainly look into fixing that.
