You are unable to leave or claim a group previously owned by a GDPR RTBF account

When joining an abandoned group previously owned by an account which has been forgotten through GDPR RTBF, you are unable to claim the group, or leave the group.

Repro steps

  1. Join a group which is abandoned, but the ex owner was forgotten. (example The Eletric Force - Roblox)
  2. Attempt to leave, or claim ownership of the group
  3. The request fails, with error 500 Internal Server Error

Expected behavior

You are able to leave the group normally without running into an error.

It appears that you can now leave the group, and the group has an owner again.

At the time of writing, “Account Forgotten (5562456170)” had reclaimed ownership, but it does seem to be empty again. This could be the engineers looking into the root cause?
