It just seems to be a very clickbaity thing that Youtubers do.
Now I know that a player can just exit a game through the many ways possible, but
I am curious as to whether it is even possible to keep a player in a game for longer than they would want.
And if you’re wondering, I don’t wanna try it myself, im just curious because nobody has asked this question, probably cuz it aint possible, and if someone was to search the question, they may see this.
it’s probably impossible to keep someone in the game who is on pc due to the several ways you can exit roblox, however it may be possible if the player is on a mobile device
Yes but this is a nightmare for mobile users, as they cant do alt+f4. One guy made such game called Piggy Obby and there was like 100 players in that game and the chat was filled with hate messages of mobile users. I dont have a link it it though, hopefully it got taken down.
A few years ago I was playing a game with my friend and then when he joined those copy and paste scam obby games. He could not leave it just kept on putting him back on the game. But you can always close Roblox and reenter the website.
There’s a video that the YouTuber Devoun made that showcased this problem, showing that you actually can disable the leave button with some clever teleporting.
Teleport service isn’t always instant. There’s a good chance they’ll manage to leave before it manages to teleport them back to the game. So even that’s not foolproof.
(theres always the X button or double clicking the home button on mobile, too)
It’s possible, but will likely get your game moderated even though it isn’t directly stated in the ToS. For people who aren’t tech savvy enough to know how to alt + f4, you can prevent them from leaving if they aren’t fast enough.
