Whenever I attempt to, through the command bar, modify the datastore (or even just get a key in the datastore) in a team-create I do not own I receive this error.

13:47:00.526 - HTTP 0 (HTTP 403 (HTTP/1.1 403 You do not have permission to manage this place. You don't have edit permissions.))

The owner does not receive this error when they run the same block of code (just a GetDataStore and GetAsync/SetAsync code block).

I do have edit access to the game (I’m in the team-create).

the plot thickens

Now, I cannot test the game while in the team-create because I get this error from scripts that attempt to modify the datastore.

My friend, who owns the game, does not get this error.

This is actually extremely annoying and borderline breaking of the development process.
