Hi everybody! I’m here to share details about my plugin. It’s a pack of a couple of quality of life tweaks to studio that I made. Don’t worry, it’s free!
Move to Workspace
Lets you move an object to workspace, and also back to its original parent if needed.
I have this mapped to M. Super handy for making quick adjustments to things in ReplicatedStorage / not in workspace.
Move to Origin
Moves whatever you have selected to 0, 0, 0. Nothing super fancy. I usually use it when I have something imported and I want to clean the numbers up.
Insert Meshpart
Inserts a default meshpart at 0, 0, 0. There’s like a million ways to import meshes now, however this is my preferred method and this shortcut makes it a little bit quicker.
Gimbal Rotation
I have this mapped to R. It lets you rotate relative to your camera. It’s a lot like rotating things in blender. Good for rotating things quickly rather than fiddling with handles.
- Activate again to submit
- Middle click to cancel
- Shift to rotate slower
- Ctrl to rotate on the Z axis.
idk why the cursor gets huge in the gif, its fine in studio.
Semi-Improved Camera Focus
I have this mapped to F, overwriting the default studio camera focus. This shortcut takes it a bit further and allows you to zoom to where your cursor is hover over. It will bring you to the origin if you have nothing selected and aren’t hovering over anything.

To map a key in studio, go to File > Advanced > Customize Shortcuts…
Unrelated, but I recommend unmapping Anchor from Alt + S. It’s easy to accidentally unanchor something if you’re alt-selecting things in a model while moving around using WASD.
Also unrelated but here are my custom explorer icons I made. IMO the default icons are too dull.
