🆃🅸🅻🅴🆂 (An 8-Bit Survival Game)

Hey! I’ve recently come back to an old project and have decided to work on it more.

How to play:

  • Claim your tile
  • Purchase tile features in the shop
  • Equip your features through the build menu which also gives money boosts
  • Survive the events every round and be the last man standing

Let me know any feedback or suggestions you have!

Thats actually a cool idea.

The only problem is that its multiplayer, which is the type of games that developers shouldn’t be making to grow their community.

But other than that great job! I personally think that the bushes should’ve been blocky like other parts of the map

Looks great so far and a very creative idea!

Some suggestions I have and issues I had -

Suggestions - Make the font size smaller for the main menu and make the intermission lobby more interactive

Issues - Credits button does not work for mobile and game randomly stopped

Hey everyone, sorry about the game not working randomly. I just updated it and it should be fixed!

Thanks!

I’ll fix the font size in the main menu, and also work on the shop UI suggested by someone else.

I want to start off by saying it has some great game mechanics especially when you first join the game.

Things I’d recommend you change:

Name of the game: The name of the game is very vague meaning you won’t get as many players, try be more descriptive

Mechanics of the gameplay: When in the actual game(when trying to survive) it is quite anti climatic, things such as reducing my speed by 1 will do nothing and is quite pointless. Try making them more dramatic such as making the player jump 3 times higher for example. Furthermore the game is quite slow moving the baseplate rarely moves, make it move faster and give the players more objects. I’d recommend giving the players more blocks and things they can place so try get higher.

I’m not sure if this is on purpose but you can go on other peoples tiles. If so I’d recommend changing it even something as allowing a 2 second window to jump onto someone else’s.

The game is quite mixed: There is some very basic looking objects in the game while the starting screen and picking your tile is very well made!

Allow people to choose to stay in or out of the game. If i remember correctly I didn’t have the option I may be wrong

Game passes: Ofc you are still working on the game but I’d recommend game passes which give players advantages such as a sabotage on other players.

Things I like:

Starting screen and picking your tile
Starting map
Lava map
I could go on but that won’t help you improve your game

Overall:

The game has some potential to earn some robux however to be a game with high concurrent players it needs some big changes.

Why is this?

I’m pretty sure they are blocky…

Thanks!

This is because when you’re at the early stage of development whereas you can barely reach 10 playings, you won’t find anyone that will play the game.

And even if someone were to discover it, they would instantly leave upon joining after realizing that its a multiplayer game with 0 playing and they’ll be too lazy to invite a friend. And then someone else will discover the game, do the same thing and repeat.

So unless you spend a lot of robux on advertising or manage to get extremely lucky, i don’t think you can really make a community purely out of multiplayer games.

Which is also why developers prefer making games that are compatible for both singleplayer and multiplayer such as simulators. But i mean hey, its just my guess from my last experience when i tried making a multi player game.

hi played the game

loving this art direction! despite using both pixelated and hd textures nothing feels out of place, crazy how you nailed that

huge suggestions:

  • add a grid-placing system to the tiles for ultimate customization
  • settings menu for audio and certain optimizations for the low-spec’ers
  • spectating, god please spectating
  • rounds need to be timed, can’t have everybody waiting in the lobby while this one guy just doesn’t die
  • achievements for really wacky, near-impossible tasks
  • sudden death for multiple people still alive at the end of timed rounds
  • developer products and gamepasses for convenience-sake, i find tile games hard to monetize

just some ideas, have fun with your project and take it in the direction you want, not others’

Sadly I’m not planning on adding this any time soon

I’m going to work on fixing that

Definitely needs this!

I’m looking to add robux related items farther into development as I dont want to make it pay to win

I’m hoping to keep the game very performance friendly but I’ll add this when or if needed

Thanks!

Hello! I played this game, and here’s my feedback on it:

  • Overall a nice game
  • It gets boring after a while, so add some more things to keep the player preoccupied
  • I enjoy the “modern retro”, neoclassic, 8-bit style/music

Here are some suggestions I have:

  • Achievements (i.e. kill the creator)
  • The UI could use a bit of work
  • More events that could happen. They’re very repetitive
  • A tutorial for beginners. Although the game is very self-explanatory, some people might not get it immediately
  • More things to customize tiles

Although the game isn’t done yet, it’s off to a great start. Good luck on the game.

I’m planning on adding more pvp based events like more weapons and deadly npcs. Currently rising lava is pretty balanced so I don’t think I need any events based on getting to a higher spot yet

This is intended for pvp

I’ll add this, this could also give more time to customize your tile

VVV

Thanks!

I think the pixelated blocks should stay consistent in bits, like the trees are made out of smaller blocks than the bush things you shown in the picture, they should stay the same size.

The game isn’t bad. You should probably slow down the events since an event would occur every second making it hard to read who got into that situation. The music choice was great. The UIs could have some detail. I personally think that the transparent UIs make it difficult to read or look at. You should extend the intermission time because I feel like it’s too quick. Overall, the game is pretty decent and could be fun when there are more people playing it.

This is a pretty mixed suggestion, some people say theyre too fast, some say theyre too slow.

Im definitely going to work on the UI, this was also suggested by a lot of other people

I don’t think so? I’ll keep this in mind though while working on the UI

Thanks!
