:hammer_and_wrench: Tips & Tricks for the Best Performance

Want to get the light effects/visuals without sacrificing performance? Here are some handy tips:

  • Disable dynamic volumetric fog for better performance if your game doesnā€™t require real-time adjustments disable the adaptive spacing, along with the adaptive transparency.
  • Lower ray count By adjusting parameters like ray count, spacing, and transparency levels, you can get some nice fog without a bunch of rays.
  • Lower the sample size in the Environment Tint settings to reduce computation load.
  • Experiment with different configurations to find the perfect balance between aesthetics and performance!

Luminous comes with a config file that lets you tweak various settings like fog density, color adaptation speed, ect blah blah and more. You can easily modify these parameters to suit your gameā€™s specific needs and optimize performance accordingly.

:star2: Stay Updated & Share Your Ideas!

This is an improved version of my older system: Volumetric Fog V1 :tada:
Thanks for checking! :100::pizza:

Issues

Depth of field is off and backwards(Only for some people | wierd),
Looking out into open scenes and or in certian locations somehow increases memory usage,

Donā€™t have a game that needs much fog but I think it adds a nice touch to the game, looks really good.
