The 30 character limit is to discourage replies like “Thanks” or “Your Welcome”, or mainly just pointless replies.
That’s why it says “Have you tried the 
button?”, as its telling you to use the heart rather than make a reply.

Yes yes, I understand that.
I said “Why do we have this?” to get over 30 chars, just ing something, I feel doesn’t have the same effect.
