2D Clothing Asset Still Moderated Despite Being Appealed By Roblox Support Email

My clothing asset ( 17157038361 ) which was moderated on 22 june . Since that date, I have contacted support , and they responded to me 3 times , clearly stated that my asset would be restored. However, despite these repeated confirmations, the asset still remains moderated to this day.

Asset ID: 17157038361

Tickets that stated that the asset image will get restored : Roblox Support Ticket 126307359 , Roblox Support Ticket 125817352
Ticket that says it will not be investigated since its been 30 days since the moderation occured : Roblox Support Ticket 127626620

Now, I am being told that no further action can be taken because 30 days have passed, despite the fact that:

*Moderation occured on 22 june , it is 19 july today and im being told it will not be further investigated considering its not been 30 days yet.

  • I submitted all communications well within the 30-day window.
  • I followed every instruction provided by Roblox Support in good faith.
  • Your own staff committed multiple times that the asset would be restored, with no action ever taken.

This has left me in a deeply unfair situation. I upheld my part of the process—timely communication, respectful follow-up, and full cooperation. Roblox, however, failed to act on its own assurances. Simply citing a 30-day limitation after your team failed to fulfill promised restoration is not only unacceptable, but completely undermines user trust in your moderation process. I’m sure this issue might be a bug since its a failure in the system of roblox moderation as it does not restore back the asset despite telling it will.

I also have this issue with another new asset which was moderated falsely for discrimination, the appeal got accepted yet its not restored

Asset ID: 18680854198

According to Roblox DevForum bug report guidance, a bug is defined as “any behavior that is not expected and differs from intended functionality or user experience.” In this case:

  • The expected behavior (based on support’s repeated messages) was restoration.
  • The actual behavior was inaction and unjust dismissal after delay.
  • The result is a moderation system that contradicts itself and punishes the user for Roblox’s own delayed response.

I urge you to re-review my case in good faith, especially since all activity happened within the active 30-day appeal window. Letting a bug in your support follow-through invalidate my asset permanently would set a poor precedent for how moderation promises are handled. Also fix this issue of 2D assets not being restored despite appeals being accepted , throught the appeal window AND emails.

Please escalate this to the appropriate department. At the very least, I request that my asset be restored as originally promised. I am happy to provide full copies of the email conversations for verification.

This seems to be human error rather than a bug Roblox can fix. I’ve had similar things happen to me before, but that was with the Violations & Appeals page and not support tickets, where Roblox only reinstated the image that made up the T-Shirt I uploaded rather than the actual T-Shirt.

You still might be able to appeal your asset via the Violations & Appeals page since you went through Roblox Support instead of the appeals page.

I’d recommend checking if the Shirt Template you uploaded to Roblox got approved by Roblox Support instead of the actual T-Shirt, you can do this by going to the Images tab in the Creator Hub

I doubt the error would be done 3 times considering ive been mailing them over and over after waiting for 3 business days and still had the asset moderated , ive used the appeal window as well as roblox support email but the issue is same, along with now my moderated asset not being restored at all , also these did go pass moderation as these both were my most best selling assets in the catalog , they got moderated after a long time of being onsale

Is the clothing template still unmoderated? You can find it in the images tab on the Creator Hub:

(Clothing templates are scribbled out so that no one can steal a piece of clothing I uploaded in 2017)

If so, it’s possible what happened is:

  • First support agent unmoderated the shirt’s clothing template, but not the actual shirt (this is likely considering that they said “Image” instead of “Shirt”).
  • Second Support Agent thought that it was unmoderated, didn’t have a prewritten response to say that it wasn’t moderated, and said that the asset would be unmoderated, even though in there eyes, it wasn’t moderated.
  • Third Support Agent thought that the asset broke TOS and responded back that it did break TOS.

Sorry about this, I spaced out while writing my reply and forgot about that part.

yeah i just checked , the image is unmoderated

however the item itself is moderated , how does one fix this considering i did mention in my emails that the asset itself is yet not put on sale and is still moderated

Alright, there might be some fix that Roblox Engineers could implement.

If any Roblox Engineers are reading this, I’d recommend making a system that auto-unmoderates any shirts attached to a shirt template when that shirt template is unmoderated and also does the same vice versa.

(Assuming that this system or another one that’s similar isn’t already inplace and it failed in this specific example)

tysm , and also its just not me who’s a designer and experiencing this , in the designer community where im active at and asked people there , its been happening to other designers as well who just give up and reupload the 2D clothing since the appeal system doesnt really remove the moderation .

Duplicate of Automatic Appeal process never restores classic 2D clothing despite successful appeal. Please refer to the post for further updates.
