So I came up with this game idea. What do you guys think?
Its a single player game where you use your cursor to navigate levels.

It’s definitely different than most games on Roblox. It looks like a fun concept. I’d just refine the UI a little bit and add music.
The thing is tho, how would mobile players play that
It would not be available on mobile only PC
(would this work on Xbox?)
Pretty clever! So it’s like an obby, but for your mouse?
yeah that’s basically the concept. I had problems with moving the mouse when it “died”. Instead I just had to make the obby work with the location of the mouse when it passed the last stage.
I really hope Roblox add’s some way to let you move the players mouse. (not over core gui’s of course, that would be a disaster)
It’s really cool! Will not play it to much, but definitely give it a try. The only thing I would recommend is covering all the screen, even the top. For that just enable IgnoreGuiInset on the Main Gui:
For the rest is really unic and cool. Congratulations!
It really reminds me of cursors io, too bad that game was ruined by exploiters. I don’t even know if it’s still running.
It would be GREAT! To have one of these types of games on Roblox, I’m not sure why nobody has done one yet. Good luck on your quest for cursors!
yes that is my inspiration. The game was running just a few weeks ago but now i get a Origin DNS error. I remember playing this so much lol.
I love how it’s different than a bunch of games on Roblox. Maybe add some more detail to the UI, but other than that I would love to play this when/if released!
One more thing, The UI isn’t scaled properly, and you’re getting this empty space. Not sure if it’s intentional but it doesn’t look all that great. I’m sure players would prefer it if you could fix it.
This can be fixed by setting the size on the x & y scale to 2, and setting the position on x & y to -1. This should account for that space and it will probably be gone. If you want the red parts to be a specific size, I’d recommend putting a white frame behind or black.
Edit: Sorry Must’ve missed @Sarchyx’s post. Anyway, His method is probably better so don’t mind this post.
For that exists the Setting on Screengui “IgnoreGuiInset” which removes that gap.
As Sarchyx said it:
You don’t have to make the Size bigger and change the Position.
Thanks! but, as @spacecr4zygamer said, Sarchyx already told me IgnoreGuilnset which fixes this. I dont think its worth uploading a new video over though.
ohh that sounds unique but from what u said it sounds like ur going to use click to move but without the click part
It would work on Xbox. They use the control stick to move around as a way to move the cursor.
I don’t want to make you worry but this game is very easy to exploit…
A tutorial would be nice, I had 0 idea what i was looking at during the first minute
I know but it is a just for fun single player game. Its like if you download exploits for New Super Mario DS, your just making it less fun for yourself by cheating.
Certainly an interesting concept. I would recommend adding score, lives, and maybe checkpoints so players don’t get sent all the way back to the beginning.
However I can see most of the level design being exploited by the player easily moving their mouse super quick to get to the green button as it automatically teleports to the next level. Not to mention if they click out of roblox by pressing the windows key, it would lock the original roblox mouse cursor and place giving them time to hover in another place, click back on the window and completely skip the stage.
Fun concept tho.
I never knew that was a thing… That will save me a lot of time later
