Mini Empires v0.8.0 changelog

Ranked, refreshed interface, free-for-all without alliances, new leaderboard, new chat, and more!


New additions

  • Added ranked 3 versus 3 (3v3) mode with the following 10 ranks:

    • Bronze 1 image
    • Bronze 2 image
    • Bronze 3 image
    • Silver 1 image
    • Silver 2 image
    • Silver 3 image
    • Gold 1 image
    • Gold 2 image
    • Gold 3 image
    • Paragon image
  • Added a new queue system for individualized skill-based matchmaking. For unranked modes; the internal queue algorithm has been updated as well.

  • Added new leaderboard displaying the top 20 players sorted by matchmaking rating (MMR).

  • Added a refreshed post-match summary interface.

  • Added new 3v3 map “Abyss” for ranked mode.

  • Killing enemy units and destroying enemy buildings now rewards 35% of the production cost.

  • Added new surrender modal for 3v3 modes.

  • Added new chat with “all” and “team” channels for easier communication with teammates and all players in the same match.

  • Teammates can now produce units at the same time from the same team-owned core.

  • Teammates can now destroy walls and gates constructed by other team members to prevent griefing.


Changes

  • Removed alliances from unranked modes in order to ensure a true free-for-all (FFA) experience.

  • Destroying (previously selling) a produced unit or constructed building does no longer result in a 50% refund of the production cost.

  • Scout unit can now be produced from the Core.

  • Barrens map is now removed from FFA map pools, however still available for custom matches.

  • The response latency after clicking to move a unit has been greatly reduced for PC players.

  • Units and buildings attacking other entities are now revealed regardless of them being in the fog for modes with fog of war.

  • Player owned units and buildings are now highlighted in a white outline to easier distinguish owned entities.

  • Unit training progress is now only shown to the player that is producing the unit.

  • The multi-selection HUD is now optimized by combining units of the same type to the same card with an x# counter.
