About

Hi there! I’m looking for a builder who is on the level & is as serious as I am. I currently have plans to remake an upcoming game, Midnight Mayhem. This game will be a night-themed battle royale inspired by the movie The Purge. Now I’m ready to revision the game into a game that can hopefully become successful.

The reason why I wasn’t able to finish the game was due to a family member dying & the builder was very lazy and decided to quit.

You can see the old version of the game: [MOVED] Midnight Mayhem - Roblox

I also have a combat demo for the game that I can share only if you’re interested in working with me

(More details will be shared with you if you’re interested)

My previous work

Here’s some work for you to check out:

(Some of the work is outdated)

-[WIP] Dawn of Death - Roblox
-old framework - Roblox
-Mechanics Workshop - Roblox

Here is a gif example

Notices (about the game & my expectations)

  • Game will work for all platforms
  • Update on progress very often (I’ll do the same)
  • Don’t be lazy

Payment

Payment can be changed/negotiated, but I’ll be paying 50$ + giving a 35% of the game revenue. One time payouts will be made when the game is finished.

Make sure to have work that you can show me before contacting me

Hello! is the position still avaliable?

I just posted this so yeah. You can contact me if you’d like.

My apologies! I did not see the post date! I sent a Discord Friend request, BrenoLevel#9409

Dm me
Quixy#3751 I have sent you something.

Hey guys! This is the lazy builder who didn’t do anything and just got “fired”. Let me share my experience and other builders who came before me.

First and foremost, I found this post the same way you guys probably will. I looked at Sutik’s other work and his old game and decided it had potential given some extra quality and time put into it. I was basically hired on the spot and had a lengthy conversation with Sutik on the inspiration and the future of the game. Sutik more than once assured me of his capabilities as a “fast and capable” programmer. Everything seemed great.
The very next day was very different. I was contacted by the previous builder ‘Foxzes’ who had almost the same experience I did working with Sutik. Foxzes was working on the project actively for weeks, and when about 60% of the map was made Sutik just changed his mind and wanted to restart the whole building process (effectively killing all of Foxzes’ work). Furthermore, Sutik asked for Foxzes to purchase the logo for the game from Younite which came to the cost of 100 euros (Foxzes was under the pretense that his work would be paid off by a percentage that Sutik promised him). Foxzes warned me that Sutik was horrible at directing and even though Foxzes was getting lazy at the end of his experience with Sutik, he still made an honorable attempt at finishing the map. After about 3 months, Foxzes was kicked from the team, his time and money went down the drain and this post was created to find a different builder to replace his work. Foxzes was notified of me getting hired when Sutik sent him a DM bragging about getting a better builder and linking my portfolio (ironically leading me to find out about the history Sutik tried to hide). Foxzes also told me he wasn’t the first builder to get kicked out from the studio.
Hearing about this from Foxzes directly, I confronted Sutik to which the response was more or less excuses about why this happened and why it won’t happen with me. Sutik never denied scamming Foxzes out of 100 euros nor that he asked him to restart (I didn’t need justification anyways, Foxzes sent me screenshots of Sutik directly asking for him to restart on his work). I worked out a deal with Foxzes in which Sutik would find a new logo for Midnight Mayhem and never use the old one (as rightly so in the first place). Fine, back to normal.
Then came the nightmare of directing. Micromanaging is maybe the most ineffective way to get someone to work, which is exactly what Sutik relied on. I was given a month for the map’s deadline, which was structured to be 1000x1000 studs. I was pinged hourly on discord asking for progress photos and such. I mentioned a few times to Sutik that while I would love working on ROBLOX every single hour but I am a college student paying my own bills and living on my own. I have priorities that need to be addressed including education and commissions before percentage works.
To fix this, I attempted to have a mediation session with Sutik in which we agreed to at most ping me daily, which didn’t change anything. After having a second session in which I again asked to be not micromanaged, the conditions improved to daily. Obviously that fluctuated a ton and some days I was flat out not available, leading me to coming back to angry messages about me ignoring Sutik.
There was a group chat eventually made where a second programmer was dropped in who seemed to be handling a lot of the stuff Sutik originally claimed to be. I was never properly informed of this other person’s work nor directly introduced. This other person in turn pinged me as well giving me a whole speech about my responsibilities and laziness, how my priorities are not set straight. While it did end up that me and this other person became quite good acquaintances, I learned that Sutik twisted the truth often in between communicating with me and this other individual. A lot of contradictions and simple lies (for instance, Sutik for some reason informed me he found a logo designer and paid him((even with a tip)), turns out this other individual was the one who actually paid the logo designer). This ended up with a huge back and forth fight that probably had a lasting affect on why I was “let go”. During this time, I did work (granted, not as much as I would be if I was getting paid for it ((glad it wasn’t at the end)). Unfortunately I couldn’t respond this Easter Sunday for obvious reasons (one being a Holiday) and today I was pinged for the last time with the message: “ok bro you haven’t been responding to me at all u blew ur chance, wasting my time smh” before being blocked and the work I had finished left in the team create that I was kicked out of. Im not mad for the work or time I wasted, knowing that it will be replaced by someone else who will have a similar experience. I am disappointed that I didn’t head Foxzes warning and I genuinely hope people looking at this post will. It’s my formal warning to anyone interested.
EDIT: During the time of writing this post, Sutik deleted his comment which flagged me as being lazy and not dependable. Luckily he put it in his original comment for everyone else to see.

Ok so you came onto the project saying you’d work on the game, that’s it. The first day you made 2 buildings, but the next 2 WEEKS you didn’t do anything else. Also I only pinged you once a day asking if you’ve made any progress, not hourly. After the first week of doing nothing, I asked why you haven’t been doing anything. Later you complained I was “micromanaging” expecting me to know that you work “weekly” when you never mentioned anything about that before. Once you told me that you make progress weekly I said that’s fine. Another week goes by and you don’t respond to ANY of my messages, when you’re clearly online. How am I supposed to make a game with you when you take 5 days to respond to my DM’s.

Don’t act like you haven’t been online 4 days BEFORE Easter. Yes I have a friend who sometimes helps and yes he paid for a logo because my R$ wasn’t in group funds, I told you I was going to pay for it before he even offered to pay it because he already had group funds. The reason why you weren’t introduced is because he wasn’t even helping me at the time. He’s a friend I’ve known for years and he asked to help out with some backend code so I said sure. He isn’t even working on the game so I’m not sure why you had to bring this up.

Also if you count 10 buildings with no interiors and a few streets made in 3 months “60% of the map” then Foxzes and you must be delusional. I’m sick of people wasting my time doing nothing for long periods of time then trying to ruin my chances of getting another builder. You clearly had more important things to do than WORK ON THE GAME for the past week, so why are you so desperate to “warn” everyone of me once you get removed.

I’ll share my personal experiences as a neutral party here, I hope I don’t come across too harsh or with negative intent.

I can vouch for the experiences Truth shared as I myself went through the exact same thing.
I’ve nothing against Proclaimed Dev or Sutik, but he’s his own downfall when it comes to creating this game. My optimism quickly turned to reluctance when all I’d get all day is that I’m not doing enough and what I’ve done needs changing, I was requested to change 60% of the map once I’d finished about 70-80% of it, and when Sutik came back from his break, he suggested scrapping it all and starting afresh. That’s what put the nail in the coffin for me.

Sutik is very talented, and I’ve got nothing against him personally, but the conditions that became expected of me as the map creator weren’t ones I wanted myself to be subjected to, and they became very difficult to motivate myself to go into. I was very productive at the start of the project, but I concede I dropped to a ‘lazy’ level nearer the end, but only as a consequence of how unappealing it was to continue working, believing most of it would be scrapped, unappreciated or not enough.

I believe the game has potential, it was very well made when I joined the project originally and I’m sure it would be even better when polished. I’m not suggesting to never work for Sutik, but I’m suggesting he evaluates his situation and realise the common denominator to 3 builders losing interest in the project.

If he’d improve his expectations and worked better at managing projects, I’m sure this game would be a pleasure to work on.

As it stands, unless you’re going in knowing you can dedicate yourself 100% to the project and deal with unrealistically high expectations, I’d suggest avoiding
working for Sutik as he currently expects you to work for him.

also @Sutik it wasn’t 10 buildings, it was 21. You can see all 21 in my portfolio under ‘cartoon town’

While I would hate to clatter this thread with anything but my response, the claims you failed to address and the response you have made clearly shows my message isn’t in vain. I do address the fact that yes, I could have advanced more in development if this was a high priority of mine (which it wasn’t). The repeated stress of getting micromanaged and the deadline (which was supposedly a month) seemed appropriate to my pace in working with you. I promised the map would be finished in a month and I was let go two weeks into the project.
In terms of being online. Yes, it may be a surprise but I am online quite frequently - not to develop - but to learn as college is online. I warned you that I will ignore you while I am in lecture (which as I mentioned before is sometimes up to 8-10 hours of study). I also warned you that for any work that I miss, I make up by working more hours other days. By not seeing linear workload progress photos, you justify me not making any progress.
Addressing this other individual, who I refrain from naming due to me being unsure if he wants to be involved in this argument, is receiving a part of the game percentage. I would count that as not “helping” you more like “working” for you. His involvement in the game spans from the time Foxzes was present and I have his personal DMs admitting to making this game as a team, not a friend helping you out on the side.
EDIT: I highly suggest if you want to respond you should just unblock me and Foxzes on discord and have a chat, instead of tarnishing yourself here.

It isn’t unrealistic to get a map done in a month. It is unrealistic to make no progressand expect to have it magically be done.

I want to get this game right, so yeah that’s why I wanted to redo the whole thing (which isn’t that hard for me). I’d rather have a successful game than keeping the outdated mess of what was there.

Don’t offer to work on a project that you won’t make any time for, simple as that. That’s why I removed you. Stop bringing up this other person because he isn’t the reason why you were lazy, YOU are.

What? I wasnt even addressing anything close to my problems being supposedly “lazy”. You counter argued that your friend was just a friend helping you out, which is again an avaricious lie and hes a big part of Midnight Mayhem and why we originally had a huge fight, thus the only reason I even mention him in my experience.
Fine, you weren’t happy with my pace even though you gave me a month deadline and I was leaving ALL of my updates in the team create you had access for (just for you not to ping me with “updates?”). Fine, you don’t want to deny any accusations I have made in my post and question why I would warn others about you. Im not gonna respond anymore under this thread as Im sure it can be as easily classified as spam now. If you want to talk, simple, unblock me on discord and give me access back to my work.
