A visual look at my first playable game that i mentioned in one of my earlier posts! This is very much still in the works but its a solid foundation…

Feedback For An Upcoming Game

The Basis>>
Its simple…
Click the plot in the center, a sapling gets planted, once it grows to a full size tree you click again to “sell” it, you get cash from each sell as well as getting closer to leveling up, once you level up the trees you “plant”, automatically switch to whichever tree is associated with the level (different models for different levels). You can use cash to upgrade the growth speed of the trees, the price rises as you upgrade.
As you level up, the trees get bigger, more detailed, and give certain perks.

Feedback is much appreciated as well as constructive criticism!

Congrats on your first game project! This is a pretty solid game idea, but the game’s environment still needs improvement.
I feel like you’re aiming for realism based on the scenery and the atmosphere, but the low-poly trees make them look out of place. I’d suggest working on the lighting, you can try cartoony skyboxes and settings. Lighting technologies like Voxel and Compatibility work well with this style, and it helps with optimization too.
You should also consider using trees from the same asset pack for uniformity.

Thank you for the feedback!
I make all the trees myself and I’m shooting for the first set to be super basic and the detail/ look progress as the player earns different tree levels (for example level 12 would entail a large tree with a large amount of detail).
Updated the map because the old one was just not giving the vibe i needed, heres the new one, also made some pretty cool improvements to the game system…
Let me know what you think, the lighting is circumstantial and may change, there is also plenty i have to add to the map (secrets, lore, etc.)
the gap with no trees on the edge of the map is going to be W.I.P meant for map expansion at some point…
