Ability to layer Textures and Decals by ZIndex / Priority

I am once again asking for your support in bringing Zindex to decals and textures.


I support this idea.

Iā€™m making a mythical creature game in a unique art style. For the eyes of my creatures, I manually layered decals since I want them to be colorable:

However, like what @AbstractAlex has been dealing with, there is clipping when I rotate my camera around.


A fix for this is much needed.


Just so you know, they are adding this feature in:

Look in API changes for release notes 483. You should see that they added ZIndex property to decals and probably textures since textures inherit the decal class.
