Ability to Permanently Delete Our Uploaded Content

archiving isn’t the same as deletion. Unfortunately, Roblox will still warn you for an asset that was archived.

That is supposed to the the point of archiving

it is unfathomably crazy that a highly requested feature from 2018 STILL doesn’t have an implementation within roblox in 2024, we need to be able to delete our assets. You can still get banned from archived assets, having no delete button is just backwards and borderline stupid.

It seems like they want you to get banned.

It is, and yet Roblox will go out of their way to lie to you and ignore you when you do eventually get a strike on an archived asset. Source: was banned for almost 8 months over a strike on an archived asset

I despise the fact that Roblox lies about something as important as this, even with many people openly proving it wrong, but it’s not like anyone can do anything about it in the big picture.

This should be all encompassing as many people here have suggested. I would even extend it to things such as groups which could in turn free up many already taken names. If we have the ability to create we should also have the ability to destroy. How this will be implemented or what other areas it may affect is really not my concern as long as the core issue is resolved - deletion.

I heavily need this feature…
I have too many models inside of my inventory, and yes, I can “delete them from my inventory”, but they stay in the list whenever I try to overwrite models.
I also want to get rid of some group models to get back some needed space.

Hello,
Im Bumping this thread because I need this feature.

I see a lot of benefits for this to be implemented:

  • Clearing tests and unused assets
  • Save space on Roblox’s Servers
  • Reduce the time the developer takes to find a specific asset in the inventory (if there is no search bar)
  • The developer doesn’t have to worry about publishing an asset for a test

The deletion would take 30 days to be done, and if a game uses this asset, it would be notified by a text in the console, like “This asset is in the deletion process and cannot be used”

After the deletion is done, the id could be available again after a certain amount of time.

This shouldn’t be done regardless, an asset id should never return a different asset because it opens up an unfortunate scenario where a developer includes a shirt / other asset which gets deleted and later uploaded as an innapropriate asset.

If we have the ability to delete our uploaded content, I firmly believe this should include deleting our games both under a group and under accounts, I have a tremendous amount just sitting there which I’ve since archived but i still know its there… and it feels so messy!

However, there should be like a 3 day waiting period for deleted places in case you accidently press it or a developer associated with you deletes it in revenge, so you can recover in those instances.
