Account warning not cleared after successful Report Appeals reversal and bundle reinstatement

I am a UGC bundle creator on Roblox, and I recently uploaded a dynamic head bundle (Bundle ID: 65738871040966). This bundle was initially moderated and removed for “Misusing Roblox Systems.”

However, I submitted an appeal through the official Report & Appeals page. The appeal was first denied, but later accepted, and the bundle was restored to the catalog.

Despite this successful reinstatement, the warning on my account still remains. Even though the item has been re-approved and is now live on the platform, the moderation action tied to it hasn’t been cleared.

This appears to be an inconsistency within the moderation system. If an item has been reviewed and reinstated after a successful appeal, then any account warning associated with it should also be removed automatically.

To reproduce this issue:

  1. Upload a UGC dynamic head following all platform rules.
  2. Have the bundle moderated and removed (in my case, reason: “Misusing Roblox Systems”).
  3. File an appeal through Log in to Roblox.
  4. Appeal is initially rejected.
  5. Appeal is later accepted and bundle is restored to catalog.
  6. Check account warnings — the original warning still remains, despite appeal success.

Expected behavior:

If an appeal submitted specifically through the Report & Appeals page is accepted and the content is restored, the warning that was originally tied to the moderation action should also be automatically removed from the account.

Actual behavior:

Although the appeal submitted through Report & Appeals was accepted and the bundle (ID: 65738871040966) was reinstated in the catalog, the associated warning on my account was not removed and still remains visible.

Additional Information:

  • User ID: 520893848
  • Bundle ID: 65738871040966
  • Appeal ID: 2vIrRhDJ6CwqYR5cvoAkK55Vnoj
  • No other items/bundles of mine have been moderated, so the warning remaining on my account is not due to any other content violations. This can be further confirmed by reviewing my moderation history.

Please review this issue and remove the warning from my account, as the appeal process through the official Report & Appeals page was successful and the moderated content has been restored. Thank you in advance for your time and support.

I’ve figured out what’s happening.

When an appeal for a bundle gets rejected, the same moderation action is re-applied to the account. If the second appeal is later accepted, that second action is removed — but the original warning remains. So, if the first appeal is rejected and the second is accepted, you still end up being banned.

This also seems to apply to chat message appeals — I remember seeing similar behavior mentioned in a few bug reports. If I can find them, I’ll link them here.

Edit: I found a bug report created by someone who experienced the same issue I mentioned — the ban stacking problem after an appeal was denied

The core issue that needs to be fixed is that when an appeal is rejected through the Report Appeals system, it causes the account to be moderated again, even though the item in question was already deleted and the required action had already been taken. This results in duplicated enforcement and inconsistent account states, even after a successful second appeal.

If a separate bug report is needed to address this specifically, I’m happy to submit one.

Also, after the bundle mentioned in this bug report, my account was moderated again due to another bundle, but we resolved that issue with Roblox Support shortly after. However, this wasn’t something that had happened at the time I created this bug report. The warnings on my account have been completely cleared, so I’m not expecting you to take a further look into my account. I just want this bug to be fixed in general so it doesn’t happen again in the future.
