I’m flattered! You did some research on me! Somewhat creepy ngl, but ty I g! Nope, we didn’t take any from the anime, although we did take many from the toolbox! I think kamehameha would actually be under 6 seconds… I’ll have to check!
Damn bro, getting a lot of hate. Just putting my opinion out there. Look I read the entire post, and I have my opinion that this is good for the platform due to better asset protection, no need to rage!
I was uploading audio due to my audio getting removed that I used from the toolbox, When it says a audio has been blocked when trying to upload a audio it takes the free upload and leaves the audio as copyrighted. They do refund, its if the audio is being newly uploaded with the free uploads it will take a free upload and copyright your music
I’m already not a fan of this period, but now the ability to undo an audio going private is going to be “temporarily paused”? This is absolutely inexcusable.
In my opinion, Roblox should not have implemented the new limits during the two week period that everyone has to update their audios. Honestly it should be unlimitedly free during this time considering they are about to nuke years of content.
Dunno if I would say it would die but this update is definitely making roblox lose some developer’s/key ones. No developers = no money coming in. With this update quite literally breaking games, roblox is gonna be losing some of that sweet sweet robux along with radio gamepasses.
How is that creepy? Your profile is public on a public domain just like your game.
Remember what you said about, maybe you SHOULDNT be doing that.
Maybe you shouldn’t be using other peoples assets in the first place. - Shiroudan
We’re not mad at you we’re criticizing you for not doing research on the reply because you’re basically going with the flow of something you barely read and replied so lazily and I don’t hate you lol.
Let’s have Roblox see their developers replacing 10k songs from all of their games. Oh right, I forgot you can only upload 10 sounds without giving up your info. Hmmm…
TY for being more civilized! The stalking thing was bit of a joke, but I am flattered that you opened the profile to check if I really was developing a game like I said !
Hmm… True, although I only did it for ones under 6 seconds so I’m safe!
Rip man, hardly got through the second hamae! Luckily it’s hxh… Although I won’t be able to fit Bungee gum has the properties of both rubber and gum anymore… Rip
Yoyoyo! I’d like to deny those claims! I read this post multiple times, finished updating my game (also hint, once sharing is in, just use alts to circumvent 10 per month… Seriously no creativity from you crowd!)! It’s just I have experienced asset theft, and lemme tell you. It’s horrible. You lose your work. And these people are complaining because some of their sounds are being deleted? Look, how many sounds in your game are actually 6 seconds plus… Mah, I get your point though, it is a giant pain, like a REALLY big pain. But the scale tips in favor of roblox for me this time!
Happy you don’t hate me though!
It’s like bruh, simply add another setting so there would then be this:
Public: On sale, available on the toolbox and can be used everywhere Hidden: Offsale, can’t be found on the toolbox, but can be used everywhere (pretty much how offsale audios work now) Private: Offsale, can’t be found on the toolbox and can only be used where the owner of the sound allows it to be set
Then Roblox would set currently offsale audios to Hidden. I personally believe this sort of approach would be much better, but I know it’s not gonna happen, and it’s agonizing that’s obvious.
It has become quite obvious that the cause of this announcement was the lawsuit Roblox settled with the Music Publishers Association.
If you haven’t read the lawsuit you can read it here:
In the lawsuit, the MPA specifically alleges that Roblox is profiting from the sale and commission of copyrighted audio on its platform. Roblox never would have made audio uploads free for users on its own volition, they did it to resolve this specific dispute with the MPA.
Furthermore, the lawsuit specifically targets the audio library and “BoomBox” game passes which is likely why Roblox is removing the ability to publicly post audio on its platform. (Yes if you didn’t read the whole post not only is this change adding a private option for audio but removing the public option for audio “until a better solution is found”).
All in all, it seems as though Roblox was finally forced to admit to its copyright problem, which is the right thing to do. However, Roblox has decided to handle this situation, not like a Multi-Billion dollar company, but like a lazy landlord. They have pushed nearly all the blowback onto developers without any plan of action or discourse to solve the issue gracefully. Instead, developers have basically been told that the user uploaded audio library is disappearing in 14 days, good luck, and oh by the way, you can only upload 10 audio clips for your game in order to fix this (unless of course you hand over private information or are somehow selected as being "special enough for 2000 uploads).
The new licensed audio also does nothing to help this situation as its nearly impossible to find the content you are looking for in the audio library. In fact the MPA even complained about this in the lawsuit as well while alleging Roblox does this to hide copyrighted music from publishers. If the MPA can’t find its own music in Roblox’s mess of an audio library how in the world are developers meant to find audio for their games on this same library.
This is exactly the problem. Roblox won’t listen to anyone, and they do as they please. Someone needs to make a fan version of Roblox that has everything that people want because Roblox won’t listen.
