i come back to this post every hour or two expecting roblox to atleast respond or make a change because of more then 99.9% of people being disgusted by this update but roblox is in hush mode :shushing_face: our impending doom is approaching and other game engines sure do look like a really nice option now

Anyone know how the amount of audio you can upload is calculated? For me it says I have 2000 free audio uploads a month

It seems confirmed you will not be able to use assets on a game published on your profile if it was uploaded to a group, even if you are the group owner.

I’m hoping a system is made to transfer games to groups, otherwise, good luck to all other developers who have a dev team but the game was originally published on a profile instead of a group.

Sure, uploading audio is free, but at what cost?

Million of games will be broken, say goodbye to horror games, as they rely on sound. If I have to be really honest, this update is probably one of the worst updates that has every happened to Roblox. I seriously hope they revert this, otherwise developers will be switching to either Unity, or any other platform.

Tools will be broken too, games using boomboxes will be broken.

Why, just why. Imagine wanting to play your own music from a boombox, only to have a limited list of roblox music.

In short, this update is terrible, I seriously hope Roblox reverts this, but they probably won’t. Good job, Roblox, you’re encouraging your developers to switch to other platforms.

If this update is made to make developers to switch to Unity, it’s working.

UPDATE POST:
Sad to say but this Post just proves that Roblox is ignoring all of us about this audio update and hoping our post die out so they can put in the update and not have to hear about the community’s backlash because it’s already been 2 days and we are still waiting for Roblox to respond. Roblox does not care about the users or their developers to put it truthfully when they should. I’m still coming back to this post every hour or two to see if Roblox has respond because this update is really going to affect all our user experience and development experience or even Carrer. Roblox needs to respond As soon as possible Also if Roblox really cared about there developers and users they would have postponed the update and found a better way to handle the copyright like using a bot or something.

I can confirm this too, because I am using a group game I own, I can’t use audios from my own profile on my own group game.

I like this new system. However, one of my games has all the audios uploaded by me on my group while the game is on my profile. It says that I have to replace the audio because I’m not the creator, instead my group is the creator. What will happen if I leave it like this?

Not just boombox games, horror games, nature game, any games that mainly relies on sound.

It might sound great at a first glance, but this is actually the WORST thing on Roblox. Did you see this?

Every single audio not owned by the developer will be set to private with no way of reverting it back to public.
