It might sound great at a first glance, but this is actually the WORST thing on Roblox. Did you see this?
Every single audio not owned by the developer will be set to private with no way of reverting it back to public.

game:GetService("SoundService"):Remove()
--:Remove is depricated and sets the parent to nil just like roblox doign to our audio. Not deleting just hiding indefinitely. bruh--
How do people like you are allow to enter a professional environment like this. You completely disregarded what I was talking about in the post and go off saying āMaybe donāt use Mario Kart assets because we know how Nintendo is.ā
They are making this change because of legal issuesā¦
Flip a coin. Got heads? Alright, take 2000.
yeah but there had to be a better way.
I updated my sound main

I posted about this few hours ago but iām still experiencing this, The game is uploaded on my own personal account, the sounds too. 0 groups involved and this is happening to every sound i upload.
Shedletsky of all people just tweeted asking for a bot that automates the download and reupload task. I cannot believe weāre at this point.
I personally believe this update is going to cause a lots of problem for many games (aka experiences) on Roblox. Many games that are no longer updated by their developer due to many reasons (user not using Roblox anymore, user not able to work on their game, etc.) will now become silent. It is also something horrible for many developer working on rythm games. What is going to happen to the audio people made themselves if they are no longer active on Roblox? It wouldnāt be respectful at all to just take their audio and reupload it. If you want to make any new assets uploaded private then do it but donāt just make everything else private.
tl;dr Privating any previously created audio assets is a horrible idea that is going to cause many experiences that are no longer updated or have too many audio assets to have issues that might never be fixed
Actually, the creator CAN set it back to public if they want.
Which is the stupid part. Why not just leave it publicā¦
free audio is good but not being able to use any audio that is not created by yourself i think this is a bad idea a lots of game will break due to this and they have such short time to fix I just think that this update is not good at all I donāt see how this will improve game development and stuff it will just create more obsicle for game developers
can i ask a question? if an audio shows a checkmark does it mean its gonna get deleted on march 22? or what do i have to do to keep it?
i think it only gets deleted if it has a red cross! you have to replace the audio somehow to keep it,
Not when it comes out they canāt. They have to wait an undisclosed amount of time before the feature is even implemented.
But arenāt users allowed to use audios that have Allow Copying on?
That would probably set every sound that would be changed to available on the toolbox.
Now I get it
The best thing is this
But the WORST thing is this
Honestly, bad update. I know that Roblox is going through copyright issues but i mean you gotta give people more time to prepare. I mean what will happend to fnf games or horror games?
No?
Just leave existing sounds public and make all sounds going forward automatically private
