Man, those damn ifjcin game engines donât use Lua language! At least Love2d does and it is still greatly confusing :v
Just find some good horror game audio off the web and upload it yourself⌠you people arenât thinking.
Gosh, who knew there were so many horror game developers on this platform?
â yâall should probably just learn how to use C#, i like lua but limiting yourself to one single scripting language isnât that great
Man, I donât have all the time in the world :v, It was already took me too much time to learn lua, heck, even now I donât fully know how to code in that!
every programming language has the same ideas and paradigms
if you actually want a better alternative that resembles roblox a lot more just learn python
- its an industry leader
- its easy
- you look smart to your parents
Oh my god, I think I just found an actual Einstein here! Wow, I just canât believe it! Youâre saying that you can just⌠go on the web find some audio and upload it onto Roblox?! My goodness, why didnât I ever think of that!? Without you my good sir, I would have NEVER figured this out!!! You are such a great help!!
ALSO
Who is âyou peopleâ? You mean yourself? Because you clearly did not catch the the obvious joke in that reply.
Yea this is getting overwhelming Iâll stick with lua for now, thanks
Even though you said it as a joke there was an underlying point you were makingâŚ
This is slowly leading to the death of roblox, just simply playing the raining tacos song is barely possible anymore.
Iâm asking you to consider how it affects other people and their experience developing and how it affects âexperiencesâ that revolve around audio
Why are ROBLOX still going through with this? Theyâve clearly gotten a lot of criticism because of this and some developers have even gone on âstrikeâ. This just proves that ROBLOX doesnât listen to their community, especially the developers.
I dont get it, this update is good or no
Basically what you should worry about is that any audio uploaded over 6 seconds in length will be âprivateâ meaning they can only be used by the person who uploaded it (Kinda like animations.) So in short it is bad and will ruin Roblox. Roblox has been putting out all of these âupdatesâ but the one thing they havenât updated that will solve all of this drama is their moderation.
read the entire thing and explore all the comments
make some opinions for yourself
getting an answer from someone else may yield bad results
I already did, as i think this update is very good
So you think that having 80% of every audio on the catalog be permanently inaccessible is good?
A lot of people seem to be blaming roblox for this and Iâm not sure what side to take. currently Iâm on the âcopyright issuesâ side
Well, doesnât affects me that much, for my part i dont need to worry About that, As i can upload my own songs that a AI generated made
I donât like this update, itâs really taken a toll on my development. Like seriously? Replacing almost every sound effect in our games just because we didnât upload the audio ourselves? Thatâs ridiculous. Iâm not a big fan of the limit either. Some people get 2000, some people get 100 because they verified their age, and some people only just get 10 like I did. Iâm working on a project and Iâve already used the limit entirely and I still need to upload background music and sound effects. I like the idea of free audio but for the love of god please donât restrict it just to that limit, at least let us pay the fee if weâve reached our max uploads.
