Hi. At this point in time, it’s impossible to create parts that have a specular (reflection) color different than their diffuse color. I think appending a feature to customize the specular color would open the window for a lot of cool things being built.
An example and my use case for this would be a metallic cube that has a silver diffuse color, but a dim cyan specular color.
Here's some assets from another game that really inspired my desire for something like this.
This is especially good for parts that represent objects like oil, glass, or maybe even things like prisms. In the case of oil, it would be a black part that reflects a red, orange, or violet color depending on type. For glass, it may appear like a black window but upon being exposed under some light source, it would reflect a dim violet color.
Any opinions on this?
