Added Annotations in Creator Hub

Hi Creators,

To improve visibility into Roblox’s releases, we are adding new annotations to Creator Hub that show when different platforms receive new versions of Roblox. This feature is designed to help you better understand how new versions might affect your metrics or workflows.

What you’ll see

There will be a new annotation option. Enabling this allows you to cross-reference your experience’s performance with recent Roblox platform updates. To start, we will post annotations for game server releases and for Windows and Mac client releases.

Since platforms can rollout slowly, you will see an annotation when the new app version reaches at least 5% availability. We hope this approach provides you a useful early signal without adding too much visual clutter.

What’s next

We view this change as a small step to providing useful diagnostic information. We will be rolling out annotations for additional platforms, as well as gathering feedback and analyzing adoption to evaluate adding more specific annotations in the future.

If you notice a change in your metrics that needs to be surfaced to Roblox, please reach out to Roblox Support.

surprisingly really useful considering how inconsistent updates can be

This is really good. Now we can max out our all stats in players. I’m in charisma, window defense and macs.

This will be useful information, especially when updates that will effect performance such as the upcoming mesh streaming roll out! I’ll make sure to check this out when it’s available as I do not seem to have the option right now

Within 4 hours this has been proven completely useless, roblox released an update to catalog APIs which completely broke our game, and yet there is no roblox update indicator on our charts…

Apologies - we’re looking into the Catalog API issue. The update versions referenced in the thread are Roblox client updates (what Roblox players download from the app store). The change you’re referring to was an API change, which doesn’t have a client version associated with it. I can see why this is confusing though and I’ve made a note to the team about it.
