Hi,
I’ve noticed a massive change in the ad impressions. This problem started appearing on the 4th of December, and since then the impressions of every ad have been very poor, no matter how high the budget is. I’m not the only one having this problem, here are some other people I found who have the same problem as me.
My bid was always 0.01 credits before the 4th of December and after the 4th of December.
Workaround: None Issue Area: Ads manager Issue Type: Other Impact: Very High Frequency: Constant Date First Experienced: 2023-4-12 (yyyy-dd-mm) Date Last Experienced: 2022-14-12 (yyyy-dd-mm)
Could this possibly be a fix for an intended behaviour? I’ve noticed that your bid is 0.01 ad credits, which is the lowest bid available. Since it’s a bidding system, it’s likely that someone is outbidding the 0.01 bid, resulting in less impressions. I’ve noticed in the past, before this change, that people were getting the same result regardless of the bid amount, it’s possible that the “update” has fixed that behaviour.
It’s worth remembering any games being run by external companies, have massive marketing budgets around Christmas, and as its a bidding system it is possible what was previously a good bid is now worthless.
I’m getting similar results from a 0.04 bid now compared to a 0.01 bid last month.
Thing is, I’ve been doing 0.12 ! Bids, 50k+ Robux budget and within 12 hours it’s only getting about 12 impressions, not even a single credit spent…
Based on watching and reading this post and asking others, everyone seems to be bidding way lower than me, I wish I could have bid that amount too but the issue is even now at .12 it’s not getting anything significant.
I also noticed that when you first start using the ad system it works amazingly and progressively deteriorates as time progresses. Something does not seem right…
Are you creating ads for an existing experience or a new one? Also I believe this occurred with legacy Sponsored Ads where impressions worsened over time.
I’d like to add on and say (at least in the context of this post) - it’s Christmas. Marketing is big - if not at its biggest in the year - during Christmas.
You are going to be outbid constantly by large companies promoting Christmas updates and deals.
