I’m a group owner, having created my group when I had BC.
I’ve lost BC some time ago, which means I can’t sell items.
For my group, that’s quite annoying, as I can upload anything, yet not edit anything related to selling.
Why can’t group owners change the prices?
If they own a group, they had BC at some point.
(No idea what to do about NBC group admins, could be ignored, could be included in this idea)
It would be so much fun to actually have control about group sales in my own group…
(Along with all the other groups they trusted me with this task, which currently consists of none)
This would create another (small but still) loophole like those NBC creator groups, best not to do this in my opinion.
That loophole has nothing to do with this, as the loophole is about regular group members.
My idea here is to allow the group owner to set the prices, along with whether an item is for sale.
Since this is about the group owner, it means he or she had BC, proved by ownership of a group.
(As far as I know, there’s no way for NBC to become owner of a group)

The “another loophole” is the fact that someone could make a group while having BC, then when the BC runs out or is cancelled, they could still sell clothing and pay themselves out through the group.
They can make all the clothes (and set them for sale) while having BC and become NBC again.
The clothes will still be for sale for the same price, so there is already a loophole like the one that you’re thinking of.
I just, as a test, tried editing the price of an item in my group that’s for sale.
The moment I saved, the asset went offsale, without me being able to sell it again.
There’s still a loophole that you just ask a BC person to set a price, but that’s of course just annoying.
I think they need to look into all of the functionality that group assets currently have w.r.t. edit rights and selling rights, since as you point out there are a lot of inconsistencies.
I think it can all be fixed by letting (if their rank is allowed to) everyone in the group edit all the properties of the assets (including the BC-only ones) and then just don’t allow the payouts to specific members unless they have BC. That would comply with the information that is available on the page for purchasing BC.
Paying out group funds to NBCs should be kept, especially for those developer groups.
It would be very limiting if only BCs could be part of such a group.
NBCs could still earn money by selling gamepasses/devproducts, but with the taxes, this would be horrible.
There would be enough reasons for NBCs to not take part in group games like this.
Allowing the group owner to edit those BC-only properties too is nothing really serious.
The owner had BC before and created a group, it would be weird to (partially) lose his power of his group.
I think that would just cause more inconsistencies, why not try to keep everything consistent with what is mentioned on the BC page? Yeah it would be limiting, that’s the point of BC?
This feature request is actually for creating that inconsistency.

They cant be exiled, and have all permissions you have. They can change desc and image just as an owner can. It is effectively multi-owners.

The rank alone wouldnt be able to change desc and image. No-one can change the groups ownership. ROBLOX recognises rank 255 as owner and lets it have certain privileges not stated in the rank legend.
