As a Roblox developer it’s current impossible to set the Place Version value in the Escape Menu.
In the Help menu, where the Client and Server versions get displayed, it also displays “Place Version”. However, it is always set at 0. People often like to give games versions (e.g. ALPHA V0.3.2 or V5.2.3), but they have to keep it in the game description or somewhere in the game itself. I would like to be able to set the “Place Version” value to whatever I like, not just “0”.
If Roblox added this, it would give players one place to check for the client, server, and place version and help developers show what version of the game a server is.
