Allow us to reply to Feedback

Sometimes I’m reading the Feedback section of my game and I see things like this.

It really puts me down and doesn’t motivate me to keep working on the game.

My solution to this is to allow us to reply to feedback, so I can say things like

“Maybe you just suck at the game, loser?”

and

“Why are you such an idiot? Fix your god forsaken WiFi router.”

or even

“Why would you tell me to ‘fix the bugs’ and not give me any examples, moron? Do you think I’m not trying to fix bugs in the game practically every day? You’re the scum of the earth. You make me sick.”

As well as making feedback no longer anonymous and showing us the profiles of those who gave the feedback, this would greatly improve the development experience of creators all across the platform. What do you think?

maybe don’t make a feature request where your primary use case is insulting your players

they arent my players any more though

if we cant have conversations with the people leaving the reviews how are we supposed to get genuine insight or further feedback on a proposed idea (or insult them)

Atleast your honest

If this actually gets added in I want everyone to remember and remind everyone that the feature was added because of this guy and link the topic

“this game is caca” :sob:

Good idea though cant wait to tell the idiots that dislike my game how bad they are

Jokes aside, I’m in favor of it! Communicating with the community would be easier, and it would allow us to create an even better user experience – but of course, everyone needs to be friendly!

I think this is a good idea, if someone downvotes your game they probably had a pretty bad time with your game (seriously who goes out of their way to downvote something?) being able to reply to these would give you an opportunity to try and bring these players back once you’ve fixed the problem(s) they’ve described.

Also, the thought that your feedback is actually reaching developers might encourage more people to actually give feedback, which in general would heavily improve the development experience.

Also “this game is caca” is CRAZY what did you do to that man. :sob:

Jokes aside in OP’s post.. I get some negative feedback that’s along the lines of “how do I do (this)?”. I do explain in the game how to do (the thing), but perhaps their reading comprehension isn’t as good as others. I would love to respond and help my players with the questions they leave when giving feedback.

Huge agree.

It’s annoying when you get stuff like “I was banned for nothing”, “My laptop crashed”, “Stole my robux” and have no way to talk to those people to help them out (respectively show them where to appeal, clarify that’s not the games fault, fix whatever purchase didn’t work)

Worst part of those sorts of downvotes is they’ll stay there forever because most of the children leaving those “my wifi is laggy” type downvotes won’t ever change their vote, and there’s no way to “appeal” such sorts of reviews.

You should be barred from using the DevForum.
You’ve basically just asked for Roblox to introduce a feature allowing you to insult your players (mainly children) because they didn’t enjoy your game enough. Surely it’s your fault if the game is trash?

I agree that maybe there should be some kind of spam filter (for comments such as the ‘caca’ one) but it’s anonymous for a good reason.

so you havent gotten negative feedback on your game ONCE?

yeah i should

And they should let us (the players) see peoples reviews and laugh at them!

And it will remain anonymous even if the ability to reply to feedback was implemented. All this feature would let the developer do is actually inform the user that their feedback has been heard and potentially addressed.

While we are at it. Can reviews be public? So people can tell if the bad reviews are legitimate or people like these bums

Maybe not all reviews being public, but what if the creator chould choose 3-5 highlighted reviews to show on their games page

you could just put them in the description

Devs could put only good reviews though.

this is actually a good feature

a robloxian says: i can’t even find the shop!
then you can reply with: it’s 100 studs from the right of the pets place!

and after, you could add an update to your game actually fixing this and showing where the shop is.
that way, you didn’t lost a player, and also you updated your game
