I was wondering if it is anyhow possible to have someone animate something in an animation software like maya or c4d and then export it in a form that can later be used as a cutscene in a Roblox game. Is there any special advice I need to give to the animator?
Also are there any examples of this being done on a Roblox game?
because they animate it in roblox, like piggy minitoons animate it inside of studio and added it to a script, the only other way is using this blender webhook that lets u animate in blender and transfer to studio
i do not use discord. let me explain the spritesheet thing here (it is very impractical other than 2d animation). so basically export your animation from blender or whatever as an IMAGE SEQUENCE (there is an option for that)its basically a gif, but then you arrange them as a spritesheet, and then upload to roblox as a decal, and then you can make a script to play it. animating it in roblox and scripting it to play that or importing from blender is wayyy more practical i would use it over spritesheets
Just rig everything, and animate it, then call it with scripts to play the animations on the models/humanoids.
And if you want to do it in blender, export everything using the blender importer/exporter plugin and addon.
It’ll work as usual (Course, you have to script it to play it)
Im pretty sure kinetic code was animated in roblox. (Or maybe it was changed and now animated in blender) but he uses his own animation plugin.
Is it possible to do the animations in not using the normal Roblox rigs so the animation can have smooth bending joints. And then import it into studio in the same way adopt me and overlook bay have their pets?
