Animation not working properly?

Okay, so i tried making animations (just for tests)
and well i tried animating this:

In moon animator (reason is its easier for me)

and it ended up like this:

Now, in those videos i set the tween direction to InOut because well why not? But i made it the original one and it made no difference, i have tried searching but to no avail (either not understanding them or the solutions not relating to mine)

I have found a bunch of stuff after a few days and here are the list of them:

  • The sword looks positioned differently from animation editor.
  • The animation does not play all the way.
  • It works better without the sword(accessory).

Now, don’t get me wrong, its a funny change in animations but i don’t want that… Anyway,

Thanks!!

it looks the same in both videos to me. could you try explaining the issue in another way? do you think the easing style changed or something

My bad for not showing the in-game video a bit better but pretty much it looks like the character is scrubbing the sword in their face… Which i do not want…

I really have no idea why, but maybe…?

it may be because your character is using a package + character scaling whereas your rig wasnt. try joining the game and deleting all the “charactermesh” things under your character in the explorer as well as all the hats. after that, play the animation with your bare character and see if the problem still occurs.

The only problem with that (even if it works) is that the weapon (sword) is an accessory…
I can’t test it right now since im at class soon, so pardon me, but i’ll keep you updated on what i find!!

Update: Tried it and it did not work unfortunately, any more ideas?

Maybe try playing it without fade time?
Ex: AnimationTrack:Play(0)

It does look like the sword is positioned differently in the in game one. Also a different rig. Have you tried it with the same rig?

Tried playing with it but it didn’t work…

Yes, it does look like its positioned differently, maybe because i used a tool in the dummy but an accessory for the player?

Pardon? I don’t quite understand. You mean using a different rig for the animations?

While both are R15 rigs, the bacon rig might look a little different than the blocky one.

Also, i thought i should mention this, i feel like the in-game one has less strength if you know what i mean, i didn’t notice the player turned his head until i started looking for it…

Tried my blocky avatar (my usual one) and it still didn’t work…

Also when i was researching a possible fix to this (before i made the post) i saw this:

What alternative plugins is he talking about and what in/out easing directions?

This might be just a bug since i have been searching for a while and have not found a straight solution…

It looks a lot better when i play it with the animation dummy… Its perfect when i play it with a dummy… Ill try disabing the script that gives me the sword…

It plays very much better when i do it at .00001

But not with the sword…

It seems like when playing the animation on .1 seconds, it doesn’t play all the way through…

(My bad accidentally clicked solution)

I tried it on a different animation and it still does the same thing, so its definitely not the animation…

Anyone know why this is happening…?

I have edited the post and gave everything i knew about the problem, so you don’t have to try to find it in the comments.
