Never knew that. But I know it’s impossible to transfer datastores, which we need desperately.

This is such an interesting prospect! Originally, I was worried about badges becoming worthless, but I recently reopened an ANCIENT “Badge Hunt” game I made in the early 2010s, and I got FLOODED with DMs asking me to finish adding the badges. Badge collectors are alive and well hahaha.

I also like the prospect of using badges as a sort of trophy or achievement. I personally love being in the “Top 1%” in a game. The few who make it this far :smiley:

A good update?!?!?!? :shock:
Well then this is great as it seems like they’ll probably do the same things for shirts and pants soon like how they followed along and did this with audios even though that sucked.

This is a great update for all developers.

This will make it way more easy for small developers to thrive, now they can advertise using badges for free! and also many ‘find the___’ games will probably love this update.

No, you cannot recieve refunds for that. If Roblox suddenly announced that you will get 100% of all revenue, you can’t just run back and ask them to give you 100% of the revenue from long time back like 2021 or 2020, because that update did not exist at that time.

(Note: This is just an example to explain this to you)

This updating is amazing, I just realized this TODAY. When I was making a player as joined badge, and then it’s like “Purchase for: 0 Robux” “You have 14,349, After 14,349.” YES!

Honestly, A Badge is still a badge. Just whatever VALUE you put on it.

Badges with the 100 robux also “wasn’t a badge” until you actually scripted it to do something.

I know, I am really late to this but honestly, it’s great that Roblox implemented this. I know myself and many others are very happy about not having to spend 100 R$ (£0.97) to create a digital award. This is a small, but great step in the right direction for bringing on new developers to the platform and I’m sure many can agree!
