That same person has made over 30,000 badges across all their games. They have spent a lot more than 24,990USD.

I’m having trouble creating badges on the site, it’s giving the following error: The webpage at https://www.roblox.com/build/verifyupload may be temporarily down or it may have been permanently moved to a new web address.

It’s probably too late as I doubt you’re tracking this, but if you could add API to count badges that weren’t created for free it would both save the badge hunting community from the “badge inflation” while keeping this awesome update, satisfying both sides.

Finnaly new developers who are robuxless like me can create good games with badges :+1:

This will be super cool and will definitely help my game and help with a feature I’ve been thinking about creating (Achievements). Instead of just earning in-game rewards you also will now earn a badge!

Also, couldn’t you just create 5 each day and end up with 100 after 20 days, without using robux at all? Obviously, sometimes updates need to come out in days, but you could just create all the badges for free when the game you’re developing isn’t out yet. I feel like there could be a monthly limit, perhaps 50 or 75.

Finally, for my game i can give players achievements… However is it possible to customize the badge achievement gui? its kinda not fitting for my game…

I don’t like this update.

If badges don’t cost anything to create, they’re not worth anything.

and when you award badge, fire to client and you can create the GUI and other stuff.

this is the best update for badges in a very long time

Also, it poses unnecessary hurdles for Groups by requiring an initial fund before generating any revenue.

Perhaps I’m missing something here, but did badges ever directly tie into earning revenue? You can’t sell them can you?

They are mainly used to advertise your game on a player’s profile.

Like @Abcreator said they are to advertise a game. Why do you think so many games have welcome badges for just joining the game?

What’s the issue with people making a lot of badges?

Why badges out of all things? There are many more lucrative things to bot. I still don’t get why they’re $100 per after the initial 5 a day. It’s more of a hassle to use, and I’d rather do more interesting than badges if they’re gonna do this free-trial type style.

I totally love they did this, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t understand why it’s $100 per after.

This is awesome for Developers. I, and including many others just from reading some of the replies on here are extremely excited for this update. This will attract many players to either keep playing, or continue coming back to play and unlock these exclusive badges to those that are very awesome and take the time to unlock badges. I will be using this for nearly every project in the future now.

Perhaps you could apply this rule to the creation of audios as well, but to avoid spam, limit the creation to 3.

The people who complain about this are clearly players and not developers:

Roblox is not supposed to be one game, it’s a platform of many games. Each game should have as much independence in their customizations. Other than your Roblox account, your achievements in one game will not carry over to the next. There are “badge collectors” in the community, but they mean nothing to other games.

TL;DR: Don’t treat Roblox as a singular badge collector game.

I love this, been waiting since '18.
Time to make more badges! :happy3:

This is a decent addition. However, why not just 5 per day? Not 5 per experience per day, because you could just put badges on different games and teleport them to get them. Not a easily exploitable way, but probably better to do 5 per day.
