How many kids are actually that interested in cars on that level? There are a lot more people with friend desires that need to be fulfilled. Plus it’ll help put some people at ease to even have an NPC as a friend. It’s much like how you might go through a game with a pet, and then something happens to the pet. You’d feel an emotional connection to the pet even though it’s not real.
ROBLOX is a child based platform, your game wouldn’t even be up for a day since dating is against TOS. Just don’t do it. Put your time into something else.
We switched to having just friendships, not dating.
Personally I don’t see the point. But go ahead and give it a shot.
The point is for people without friends to be able to make friends with the characters in the storyline in a safe environment to help envoke emotions of friendships that they might be lacking in the moment.

Essentially it’s just another form of entertainment but more involved with the player. The biggest thing about it is the emotional connection you develop for the characters throughout the story. There are also things that effect your gameplay and choices you’re able to make like stats.
Don’t even add those type of games, it’s weird, but people that are lonely should really go out in the world.

Try telling a lonely person to go out into the world and then see if they actually do it. The point it that it probably won’t happen. That’s why some people use roblox already as an outlet to make friends. However, that doesn’t mean they develop any actual meaningful friendships with any of their roblox friends. There are cases where it happens and there are cases where it doesn’t. There are people who have friends and people who don’t have friends. Whether that’s just because they are shy or an introvert, or their home situation doesn’t allow them to have that kind of connection with people outside their home. This provides a safe controlled place for them to have those emotional connections. However, it’s just a game when it all comes down to it. An emotion invoking game.

I mean, how many people are interested in dating Colonel Sanders. Doesn’t mean the KFC dating sim wasn’t fun. There will always be a level of absurdity surrounding a dating sim, but at its core the benefit of it is providing a fantasy where they have something they lack in real life. In the case of dating sims, this is often an attractive date, but it doesn’t need to be.
What you’re describing with the pets isn’t a dating sim experience frankly, it’s closer to like a Webkinz or Digimon type thing. I’m not here to say that you can’t bond with those, however it is not the same experience as a dating sim. While both are based in fantasy relationships, the actual gameplay of a take care of your pets type game focuses a lot more mechanics like minigames and customization, rather than pure immersion in dating sims.
This is fine of course, both can be compelling games, but if you plan on going a more pet focused route you can’t really view it through a dating simulator lens and get an accurate view of the player experience. Instead of focusing on dating sim mechanics like dialogue trees, and scripted interactions, you’ll want to focus on providing opportunities for customization + minigames you can complete to progress through the game.

I’m not going to explain all of my concepts for the game. There are things like you can play simulated games with the NPC’s. There is a lot more to it than what I’ve talked about because the point was just making sure that I can do a Friendship Sim on the roblox platform. My game design is a totally different topic.

Also what type of 18- people would want family games? Adopt a baby games are different. but friendship, love? what type of people need that? yes lonely peeps but, they can also make friends in the virtual world. such as phantom forces, even single player, obsession can start.

That has nothing to do with this game. If you’re worried about people making NSFW Off-Platform, that can happen with anything and does not affect anything on the roblox platform or with the game.

I agree, now Roblox has daters and no-daters, but the majority is in roleplaying games.
This is a singleplayer game. There would be no dating involved as well.
Depends on where your friendship is with the person. Who the person is, etc. Those things have not been decided yet.
