Hello! Recently some developers I have been working on a giant open-sourced library of scripts, models, UI, GFX, and more. You can find more information about it here.
I want to make sure we are catering toward all kinds of developers and that people will actually use what we make. So I might as well ask the community to get the best answers. I would prefer you reply, but participating in the poll helps a lot too.
Which development categories would you find most useful?
As a builder & modeler, I’d certainly find open-source scripts useful. If you don’t plan on using any mechanics from them, you can learn a lot on how to do stuff correctly & neatly.
As a developer I like to give myself a rule about free models.
Only use decals, audios, and meshes if necessary. This makes it hard for any backdoor exploits or viruses to get into any game of mine. (Although this is just my rule of thumb )
Also whenever I do put a free model into my game i like to open up a fresh Baseplate and see what it does there so that if it does have a virus, my game will not be damaged.
