Authentication Failed Error Code 403 Roblox

How do I fix “Authentication Failed Error Code: 403. An error was encountered during authentication. Please try again.”?

Experienced Issue
Whenever I try playing any Roblox game, the error code 403 authentication failed appears. And no signs of down or outages of Roblox.

Solutions that I’ve tried
I’ve looked at some information to fix it on DevForum Roblox, YouTube and Google, and I’ve tried them like resetting DNS, restarting the PC, removing the Roblox File and then reinstalling Roblox. But none of these works.

Error 403 has been ocurring a lot to me as well. If you’re not using a vpn, try waiting some time. Usually waiting a bit helps as well. Error 403 means the server is denying you access.

What I did exactly to fix this is;

• Log out of my account(s) and cleared my cookies
• Uninstall Roblox
• Change my ip through Private Internet Access VPN
• Make a new account and try to join a Roblox game

If you follow exactly those steps I’m 100% sure it’ll work for you as well. If they don’t, you might have a hardware ID ban or some type of other more personal issue.

Can I use another VPN to change my IP? Because PIA (Private Internet Access) is paid.

It appears u are on windows 11.
Go to settings > WiFi > YourNetworkName properties > IP assignment > Manual

Go to CMD and run ipconfig /renew

Im a bit unsure here so its better u research this on ur own

I prefer to use rasdial command in CMD because it’s a lot easier to use for me.

i found the solution, so i got this error a few days ago but i found out if your account is banned and youre still logged in on the roblox application, it does the error, so what you need to do is log out of that account and now youre able to play

I apologize for not checking this post sooner.

The issue I encountered was resolved by simply being patient and not using any Roblox software, services, or websites for a few days or even weeks. Unfortunately, I am still unsure of the exact cause or solution, despite trying all the methods suggested in YouTube tutorials, DevForum solutions, and confirming that my Roblox account was not banned during this issue.

Did this occour after you were moderated? If that’s the case then launching the client and simply logging out would’ve fixed the issue. I saw that happen multiplie times before but surprisingly nobody knows about this

My guess is that roblox for some reason thinks your still moderated when launching a game

No, I think it occurs when I disabled my VPN.
As far as I can remember, my account has ever been moderated around 2021.
