I am posting on behalf of @GoblinMoneyMan, a UGC creator who was recently terminated due to moderation actions seemingly caused by an Auto Rig issue in Studio.
The Auto Rig feature in Studio automatically uploads rigged meshes to the toolbox, where they are then scanned by the moderation system. However, there appears to be a delay in moderation warnings, causing multiple infractions to stack up unnoticed. This can result in instant account termination rather than a warning or temporary suspension as expected.
This issue has previously affected multiple UGC creators, including @spotdog23, @vareyz, and @aviuus, who were later reinstated after review. A similar case was previously acknowledged on the DevForum by @HaloArbiter_101 (Roblox Staff), who confirmed that they were working on improving the automated moderation system for this issue:
The modesty layer rules for avatars were followed and the meshes were not against any of the rules. Additionally, a texture warning appeal was approved, yet models using this same approved texture were still flagged. This suggests a possible inconsistency in the way moderation is applied.
A manual review of this situation would be greatly appreciated to ensure compliance with UGC guidelines.
Expected behavior
Auto Rig should not automatically upload meshes in a way that triggers mass moderation actions.
If modesty layer rules are followed for avatars, they should not be flagged as inappropriate. And if they are still flagged, then they should be manually reviewed.
Delayed moderation warnings should not stack up to cause immediate account termination.
If a texture is approved, models using the same approved texture should not be flagged.
UGC creators should have the opportunity to correct flagged content before an account termination occurs.
A manual review of @GoblinMoneyManâs case to confirm that the assets comply with UGC guidelines, including the modesty layer rule.
Youâre right, I apologize. I work weekends so I didnât even think about that. Also it is just an upsetting experience to be wrongly terminated so I have been kind of pulling my hair out. But you are correct I should be more patient.
Yeah, adding nipples to a platform like Roblox might not be appropriate, and there are strict rules about it, so I think itâs justified. However, I donât understand why itâs not allowed for male avatars.
Iâm very sure that for assets removed due to âSexual Content,â moderation stacks up even though youâre banned. So, if multiple assets get moderated in a row, it can lead to termination, which is the intended behavior.
I understand that, but it was the same model that was uploaded a bunch of times because of auto rig. I didnât even know it did that. That is a dangerous feature if you have something that would be a single violation, it instantly turns it into a termination.
