To comply with one of the TOS rules I don’t remember the name for right now, users both keep the items equipped on them after the menu is closed, and are able to buy said items in the menu first, right?

I’m not sure which ToS rule you’re referring to, but yes. User-customized avatars persist in-game, and they are able to purchase and save items to their Roblox account.
