I’ve started using blender more for animating and noticed a weird issue when working with IK rigs ( the IK rig i use is not a pre-made one, i simply add IK constraints onto the legs ).
The issue is that even after baking the IK animation and turning it into FK it acts weirdly when imported into studio.
How it should look:
How it looks in studio:
Notice how the legs act differently in blender and in studio
Im using Cautioned’s animation plugin:
Has anyone had this issue before and how did you resolve it?
One question, if you have IK constraints added to the bones of your character then why aren’t they blue? Andd why is there no IK target bone? Just a thought.
On the video the bones are grey because i bake the animation in blender before exporting it. If im trying to export the rig with IK constraints it doesnt really do anything ( baking in blender also changes nothing, which is weird ).
( also the bones with IK constraints are… yellow? )
Uhhh, you’re exporting the animation after baking? How exactly are you importing the animation to roblox? Using the rig importer/exporter plugin or the default fbx importing system in roblox? I suggest using the rig importer/exporter plugin and addon (like you are using) and using the Export Animation feature, maybe that will fix the issue. Just, don’t bake it.
Im using the plugin to export the rig and import all animations. Even if i don’t bake the animation in blender and just export it with IK constraints it doesnt seem to work
Well that’s interesting. Just a random thought though, does this still happen if you like another animation? Basically, make a test animation that tests the IK and then import it into roblox and see if it still does it. If it does then maybe the addon you installed is corrupted, try reinstalling the addon. If that doesn’t work too then ask @CAUTIONED for support.
