Hello, I am in the process of creating a game, Belmond Resort & Spa. I would say I am about halfway through this process, and as it’s a solo project, it’s pretty exhausting to do all by myself. Anyways…
What I am trying to do is create a game that is unlike other resorts in that it can keep you entertained for longer than most resort/hotel games do. This includes a larger variety of activities, restaraunt service, room parties, fitness, in-game avatar edits, etc… the list goes on for a REALLY long time. In this post, I’m asking for suggestions to the CURRENT game such as, how does it look…? How could I improve the building/ scripting to:
Make more money
Make it seem as intuitive and easy to follow as possible for young players
I would also appreciate good parts of the design, to know what I can use more and develop off of. I myself like my design so far, but I kind of feel like the game is missing that feeling of a game that’s all tidy and put together. What can I do to incorporate this?
All comments are appreciated, PLEASE REMEMBER I AM NOT CLOSE TO DONE WITH THIS AND ALL UI, BUILDS, AND SCRIPTS MAY BE EDITED. THERE IS A TON MORE BEING PLANNED OUT AND CREATED.
There is more info regarding my plan for the game posted here:
Great job on the building, you’re talented! I really liked the building design for the most part.
I’m not a huge fan of Roblox Resort & Spas, however, I know if I was - I would want to experience something that’s one-of-a-kind. The more interactive you make the resort, the more fun someone like myself would have. Mini-games (solo and multiplayer) would be fun, as well as smaller things-to-do aside from obbies (i.e. scavenger hunt, freeze tag, scuba diving, boating, etc.) This would also give you a nice are to monetize in to allow things like boat customization, etc.
Areas to improve?
I think the beginning loading GUI might want to be a little more on the matte side, personally. It was extremely bright to me, especially being flashed with white before the rest of the GUI started animating onto the screen. The phone could possibly be a bit smaller, and modern (rounded, less squared) with bigger app sizes (multiple screens if needed to fit more apps like as you would swipe on your home-screen on an iPhone/Android and load more apps.) The notification system for the currency seems to either be delayed or just displays incorrect values after the first deposit of currency. I noticed it was telling me I had a new balance of ‘x’ amount when it actually went up from that amount. Also believe you should widen the lobby hallway a bit, it seems quite clustered and hard to navigate through here:
