I’m running a Ryzen 3 2300x. So not very powerful
Why? Does the window at the end give you more FPS?
When you’re only looking at the black hole, yes
This is realistic, but the reflection’s are 0/10 quality in my opinion, and this game lag’s alot, and the future lighting shadow’s are not moving smooth

oh didnt know, no idea what meant benchmark
Yeah because those reflections are released but are very time consuming for calculating
Honestly, this is embarrassing. I can literally get more fps running a game on ultra settings, 4k AND with RTX on.
No computer(Except a craptop/low end computer) should be getting <30 fps running simple cubemaps not even close to real-time and 1k res PBR textures.
Even better example: My laptop can run halo infinite 60+ fps, and that game has wayy better graphics.
I’m just saying, many of the computers here, mine included, should be getting way better frames.
If a roblox person reads this, please consider optimizing the engine.
Overall, nice game. It really shows that not all roblox games have to be blocky.
This showcase is amazing, and goes to show that ROBLOX is headed for a beautiful future. However, this showcase seems heavily reliant on neon, which all seems improvised. I can see they relied on separate parts, meshes and decals with separate textures to make certain areas glow, which would be harsh on performance. I believe this highlights the need for some kind of emission property for Surfaceappearance, where a single emission map could be applied along with the other four existing PBR maps, reducing draw calls. It would also open up new possibilities with neon, such as of course combining emission with other maps, for example, normal maps. Additionally, many glowing details are simply impossible without emissive maps.
Interestingly enough, even with a high end device my frame rates sit at around 30 fps or lower in open areas, and better (55+) in closed off areas. Perhaps with more baking capabilities and optimization on the GPU / rendering side of things would make this game run at a smooth 60 fps. I played it at a 2k resolution, but halving the window size only boosted the performance by about 5 fps. I hope to see soon in the future Roblox having these graphics, but on par for performance with modern engines such as Unreal, or at least closer to it. So far so good, and will definitely be looking forward to more showcases and development of the engine as time progresses.
Looking at the performance stats, the only thing that is taking up the framerates appears to be the rendering, so for anyone playing on lower end devices, you will be required to reduce the graphics settings to quiet noisy fans and increase framerates to a more playable 30-50, although if you would still like to experience the game at its fullest potential, my advice would be to set your graphics level to the lowest setting, find a place that would make for a good screenshot or exploration, then increase it to the maximum.
Another thing I will also continue to wonder, is when there will be any games in the future to fully utilize the engine and produce something of a similar visual quality, but with added gameplay mechanics to make the exploration more warranted, fun, and developmental.
I have found some bugs when you make a copy.

You spawn right here.

All robot animations don’t work.
And custom characters’ too.
This beat is so awesome. It’s the best ROBLOX audio I’ve ever heard!
Hey, I was just wondering when the Endorsed Model Pack will release?
Edit: I just realised i asked the same question months ago
So awesome! This no longer looks like Roblox as I know it… in a good way. I can’t wait to see a completed sci-fi game with graphics like these!
