Black spots rapidly appearing on and off on Terrain grass when using Future lighting

  1. Open “Baseplate” template
  2. Add Terrain grass
  3. Make sure “Decoration” is turned on for Terrain instance
  4. Set lighting technology to “Future”

Studio: Version 0.644.0.6440702 (64bit)
System: Windows 11 (64bit)

Graphics Mode: Vulkan
Editor Quality Level: 21
Mesh Detail Level: DistanceBased

This might have to do with the Vulkan graphics mode: try changing it to DirectX and see how it works

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and reporting this issue. We believe this is an issue with Vulkan on Windows which is no longer supported - the Studio team will soon be removing the graphic API selection.

As such, we’re closing this bug, but please let us know if you’re still seeing this issue when not using Vulkan.

Is there a specific reason for the removal of Vulkan as a Graphics option?

Many developers, including myself, use it as it is the best option when it comes to balancing performance. This also is a little bit out of the blue for (what I consider to be) a large change, and no announcement was made.
