BLOODFEST creator Doneyes looking for a dev to take over the game

This is BLOODFEST.

I need a dev who can consistently put out content for the game week by week. This will range from cleaning up the game and UI to adding new features, maps, weapons, etc.

The developer will get 25% of profits that the game makes. No extra loops or fees to that. Keep in mind this game is already at a complete state so the 25% payout is non-negotiable.

Either reply to this thread, PM me on roblox or add me on skype @ doneyes with examples of your work.

Thanks :DDD

Edit: This is from a comment below that I should have included in the original post.

The game is basically finished and just needs week by week minor updates that will keep content fresh and people coming. When the game averages 400ish people (common when they game is being kept up with) it makes $200-$300 a night. That is the low end. When the game jumps up to front page it makes $500+ a night. For the sake of this post, I’ll say the average per night is $250.

$250 * 30 days = $7,500.

$7,500 * 0.25 = $1,875

So by doing week by week updates and keeping content fresh (we’re talking 3-4 hours a week here) you make on the low end $1,875 every month. The fact that its summer means you would easily make more that that.

This means you make around $100 an hour of work. This is why it’s non-negotiable.

Can’t help but wonder why this is your first post here, Lol

I’ve applied 2x in the past 7 months and they never accepted me. Who knows why

I was referring to why you decided that your first post should be getting someone to work on your game for you…

Well, it is RBX Dev after all.

TBH I don’t think there’s nearly enough demand to make your terms non-negotiable. You must be willing to negotiate if you want people to hop on board. 25% doesn’t mean anything if you don’t give us numbers. Based on your description you’re basically looking for an all-around person who would be capable of making the game on their own from scratch, which you aren’t going to find for the price you’re asking. For the amount of work you want I’d recommend offering at least 75%.

Those are my thoughts anyway.

I would have to agree with Ethan on this. You cannot expect someone to manage your game for you and let you keep the fruits that they should be harvesting for their work. Sure you might have a fan base, and thats valuable, but that doesn’t mean the developer can’t just make a game of their own and steal your fan-base and keep 100% of the profits.

I think 25% is fair to offer. It’s a finished game, all you gotta do is maintain and add stuff, the fun part.
But as Ethan says, do mention what your monthly profit is so people get an idea.

Ethan is right, we have no idea how much 25% of the profit is. There’s this simple formula (assuming it’s right, I’m really tired, so please, if I’m wrong tell me and I’ll change it).

P = how much your developer is getting paid
i = your income whatever time frame you pay your developer is (whether it’s a week, month, few months, or year, etc)
p = percentage you’re willing to offer
t = ROBLOX’s Troll Tax (inversed, so instead of 0.3, it’s 0.7 because I don’t feel like making an extra step)

P = (i*p)*t

I typed up a simple excel spreadsheet, just ten different possible salaries you make. Column “A” is how much they developer gets, column “B” is how much you make after each time frame. Honestly, depending on the payday (time frame) and how much work you give them, I would say rows 7-10 is possibly fair.

Disclaimer: Let me know if anything is wrong, math, wording, etcetera and I’ll change it. It’s pretty late.

He said the 25% is non-negotiable, so you guys have to respect his terms and not talk about getting a better deal.

He doesn’t want to talk about this.

Correct, but we are trying to help him better his chances of getting a developer. I mean, managing a whole game even when done you still have to do a bit of work to retrofit. I want my times worth, and time is money.

Yeah I should have went into further detail.

Also sorry if this post came off in a bad light, I just thought that’s what the collaboration topic was for. I don’t want to cause any bad blood or anything.

i’d take the offer, but i can’t script.

This is like an episode of Shark Tank lol.

If it makes so much money why are you stopping development on it yourself?

I’m working on a new project that takes up all of my time that I see being the best path for me. BLOODFEST still has a fan base and is profitable so why not have it be kept up with and earning money while I am making a new / better game?

Nah, it didn’t. This perfectly fits the Collaboration section. However, when we click on a Collaboration topic, we expect things to be clear, like concrete numbers. It’s an annoyance if we have to add people on Skype or other media to go into the details when it can also perfectly be described in the post itself.

Yeah that’s totally understandable. I edited the post to be more clear with solid numbers

How about ideas for free?

Lol I just want to know how your game can make that much money with only a few hundred people - whatever you’re doing I need to find a way to learn it
