Bodysuits Now Have a Price Floor

Yeah, they definitely should cost more than Shirts. However, a lot of shirts cost like about 50 to 100. It should be a high cost without making it a very high cost. It should be just enough for others to afford it.

this update is Rizz Approved

can we have a pricefloor for gamepasses now? 100 robux for a revive would be perfection

From a developer perspective who uses AvatarEditorService APIs, are there any changes to the item data or will they still function the exact same (keep the uploaded AccessoryType)?

Also will there be any way to view if the item is a Bodysuit via the APIs?

These 3 points are just a blame to raise prices in robux

I’d imagine there’d be a way to view the category of an item, if not now sometime in the future. It’s a matter of waiting right now.

Im gonna ask you a singular time, GET RID OF THE FREAKING PRICE FLOOR UPDATE!
NOBODY WANTED THAT STUPID UPDATE, ALL THAT IT DID WAS JUST SCARE AWAY NEWCOMERS OR POOR PEOPLE THAT WANTED STUFF, YOU GREEDY PEOPLE.

Price floors are necessary otherwise it’s a race to the bottom. The barrier to entry to the marketplace is too low to not have one. Borderline copied UGC is already abundant, not having price floors ends up hurting creators creating quality content as someone can just make the exact same thing and undercut them otherwise. Creators should be able to make a minimum amount of revenue instead of being forced to sell assets for a few cents.

This is the same logic as the USD plugin update. Lower price but higher sales volume (considering i have not bought a single plugin since the update rolled out). It isn’t fair to players that people have to organize when to buy assets because they’ll be less expensive especially when you are limited on how much Robux you have/can afford. That isn’t an issue for the majority of people on this forum but is absolutely a problem for everybody else.

So making stuff borderline expensive is good? What about poor people or newcomers, if they purchased their first robux (40 or 80 R$ package) they will not have anything to purchase cuz everything is god damn expensive.

the USD plugin update was stupid, i want to spent the robux i’ve earned on plugins and such, not my actual money

I am pretty sure the multi billion dollar company has an idea of how the price floor will affect sales volume as to not cause lower revenues. I doubt they release something like this without running the numbers.

i haven’t bought a single plugin ever since mostly just bc it brought out the greed in a lot of plugin devs. asking $30 for your plugin is fully unreasonable, idc if it can read my mind and instantly output what i’m thinking it is not worth that much

Is $1 seriously considered expensive? I think that’s a fair price to pay for a digital asset that someone spent the time to design, create, and publish.

This is the same logic as complaining about paying more money for clothes in real life. You are paying for quality and ideally not having it be made in a sweatshop.

When will you add clothing for skinned meshes?

i hope yall at roblox are aware that we’re gonna burn down the general concept of price floors if they keep happening :fire::fire::fire:

this is exactly what they don’t want

you earned that robux from a plugin or game (hypothetically), spending it on a developer’s plugin it goes back to another developer, which may also go into another plugin or game

eventually the robux is funneled through developers alone, even with the tax roblox takes, meaning developers spend less money on the platform

tldr greed

The point is that 10k people would rather to pay less than $1, and only a few hundred would consider spending more than 100 robux on a single item like that. At this point I rather wearing classical clothing again, you can buy 20 classical shirts with the robux you need to buy 1 layered clothing. It’s not about how expensive they make it because definitely most of players can buy this, but they’re making UGC creators less motivated to keep creating layered clothing because sells go down.

shouldn’t have said anything  sorry guys

it seems like a horrible choice to put a minimum price on UGC content, since it’s forcing people to pay for stuff, when a lot of people don’t have that ability
