Bodysuits Now Have a Price Floor

If this was true then Roblox wouldn’t have price floors. They are a multi billion dollar corporation. They 100% run the numbers to see what makes the most money.

This has inaccurately marked one of my items as a “body suit.” I believe the implementation of this needs to be reconsidered. Jean and Knit Dress w Leg Warmers - Yellow Ochre - Roblox

This does not appear to be working as intended, as this item only has partial coverage and yet is classified as a body suit. It is not worth 100 robux and should not be sold at this price in competition with items that fully cover the body and are actually worth 100 robux.

Edit for more context: My floor length ball gowns which cover all of the torso and legs were not flagged as bodysuits, but this much smaller accessory was. This is why I believe this was an error. This item should not be priced higher than a floor length ball gown, its a short dress.

I think when they say “covers the body below the head” they really just mean covers the neck/torso area, in which case your accessory does look like it does.

If I’m right, then partial coverage would mean that it doesn’t cover some part of the torso, like the coat shown in the example doesn’t cover the center of the torso/neck.

(This is what I inferred from the examples, it isn’t really that clear and requires further explanation IMO.)

Also:

Overall horrendous update EVEN ignoring the price floors, creators should be able to mark their own item category. Good luck!

pretty much nobody likes price floors, and this “rely on our automatic grouping system or spontaneously combust if it chooses wrong” thing makes it even worse

they might as well just remove the marketplace at this point since like nobody is gonna be able to buy anything unless they throw tons of money at roblox

aight, this might be just a little exaggerated, but that doesn’t mean yall can just nerf the entire marketplace like that and get away with it

if exaggeration is going to result in the potential removal of price floors, i shall happily exaggerate

Are you serious? The community has expressed hatred since the day it came out, who the hell wants this? Don’t share an update with us please, thanks!

do you guys need money so bad. nobody wants to spend 100 robux on an item that doesn’t work in r6., this is bs.

All dresses cover the torso and waist area; even my floor length ball gowns, which cover all of the torso and legs, were not flagged. If these larger accessories were not flagged but this was I assume it was an error.

Edit: One of my other dresses was flagged, it has one sleeve and a long skirt. There’s a much better argument for this one being a “body suit” but this could mean any dress with long sleeves has the potential to be flagged (even if its only one sleeve). So also bad. For now, this is fine because that dress was already priced higher. But now the ball gown that wasn’t flagged and this asymmetrical dress that was, are at two different price floors. The asymmetrical dress is probably going to end up costing more when the price floor rises, despite the ballgown being worth more. This is going to discourage certain dress styles.

Please keep up with the price floor on 3D UGC items excluding accessories!!! It will help our small R6 clothing creators out. This is awesome like tariffs—making foreign products our home isn’t used to more expensive than our home-made quality R6 products. :slightly_smiling_face:

Think about this backfiring at them.

Fellas, Jackets do not cover the body… that’s what Bodysuits do.
Not letting creators appeal the decision is a bit harsh as mistakes are almost guaranteed and have happened.

With all that being said, you could probably just sell Shirt and Pants bundled together as a Bodysuit and it would be cheaper. |:

but also, I still disagree with Floor Pricing with Infinite Stock items, that doesn’t make sense for the Supply & Demand logic this supposedly operates on.

now maybe I’d be more open if there a cerT$ain feaT$ure reT$urned.

I really dislike the minimum price of things… Not everyone wants that and everything being the same price kinda ruins the point of having to pay… Might aswell make everything free no? 90% of the catalog is either trash, stolen or copyrighted items anyways so unless yall fix the actual items inside the catalog none of this does anything imo

What happened to letting the users of Roblox be creative and create cool items that are fun to wear? The idea was extremely cool and fun to think about, actual Roblox players that can create items just like Roblox does. Instead all we get is troll items, glitches, huge default cubes from the Blender program

No, I as a creator love them because they prevent price dumping. Speak just for yourself

Quality? The quality most of these things have is a $450,000 fine and 4 years of imprisonment.

This was not a problem when UGC program was opt-in, as it was rather limited access and you had to show your abilities and quality first before getting accepted, though it became more relaxed later on

It should have been kept like that, price floors do not solve anything and just adds low-quality items with astronomical prices

whats actually the point of price floors. creators should be able to decide how much money they want

No s###. My South Vietnam flag accessory was literally unaffordable to Vietnamese player even on minimum price. Although that’s kinda deserved, because they weren’t supposed to have it anyways.

you also lose out on customizability with this approach and are locked to the same style, so it’s kinda irrelevant

no matter what, they still price cut other creations that use separate items

Agreed, but price floors are still a better partial solution than doing nothing. If low quality and high quality items are the same base price, hopefully that is an incentive to create quality items to compete.

ok so we adding tariffs on roblox ugc now
