Starting today, any layered clothing item that covers the body below the head will be automatically classified as a Bodysuit, regardless of which asset category it’s published in. Items that only cover part of the body below the head will not be automatically classified as a Bodysuit. Bodysuits will then be given a price floor to more appropriately reflect the value these items bring to users. This includes both new and already-published items on the Marketplace.
By pricing items that cover an entire body as Bodysuits, we hope to:
Create consistency in how full outfits are priced
Prevent creators from bypassing price floors by combining tops + bottoms
Level the playing field so everyone’s pricing reflects what they’re selling
This helps ensure creators who split their outfits into separate top and bottom pieces aren’t at a disadvantage.
In the coming months, we plan to introduce a dedicated category for Bodysuits to Marketplace, and will automatically transition existing Bodysuits to the correct category. We hope to share an update on timing in the near future.
I hope the bodysuit detection works well, because if people find out, they can find ways to bypass this. Anyways, this isn’t that bad overall. I kinda like this. Maybe if the price could be a bit lower it’ll be better.

Are there any plans for the following categories as well?
handheld items
(we seriously needs this)
classic heads
2d faces
(There’s currently a lot of creators that prefer making heads with 2d faces instead of dynamic heads, so will they also be able to do that without uploading items as “face items”, making their item un-recolorable and unable to work with all heads)
Also, is there any expected release dates for PBR rigid accessories?
Roblox, just remove the stupid “Dynamic Price Floors”, we all know you don’t care about your history, about your community and y’all only care about money, money, money. Just quit this and remove price floors.
We still don’t know why price floors even exist in the first place, dynamic pricing only hurts the buyer and doesn’t benefit the UGC seller because well, higher prices = less demand, I get your team is trying to apply the “High offer means we’ll increase the price” but this doesn’t apply here in roblox at all.
Hello , But seriously robox, what are you thinking? By forcing the creator to have a price, give us a minimum of freedom, listen to the community, and stop listening to the people internally who never play roblox and who don’t sell clothes on roblox, start listening to those who are affected by these updates, you think it’s nice to know that every day roblox can change something in its policy and stop a business or just a passion of a player / creator, but seriously it’s shameful. The more time passes, the more freedom to create and express oneself diminishes. Thanks
Price floor has existed for a long time, they’re not anything new, the problem with freedom of pricing comes to people making items free just to earn sales and nothing more. It would ruin the income for many people, however they should remove the dynamic aspect of it and leave price floor static to all item types.
Roblox should not have introduced “Dynamic Price Floors” in the first place, the marketplace is getting more chaotic now from this terrible stupid feature. It’s no use.
they already do in a way; All purchase prices of Robux are based on the conversion rate from usd to the users local currency, and the same goes for the “recently” introduced direct purchase methods that bypass robux.
