Bookworm Corporation | Experienced Librarian Promotion Guide

To be promoted to a Middle Rank, we want to see outstanding characteristics that stand out from others. Hence, you’ll have to show a lot more to become one of us.

More precisely, Executives should notice characteristics including determination, devotion to the library, and generosity to co-workers.

To better understand how to fill a management role, evaluate the following set of mandates. Similar to the last section, these are simply recommendations towards promotions.

Follow the Staff Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct during your journey. This is vital to choosing who can be set as a Middle Rank.

  4. As always, professionalism is key. Behavior during shifts should be mature and polite.
  5. Helping others in situations can assist you in showing your reputation to us, increasing the chance of becoming an MR. It shows how well you can assist when needed if you become a middle rank. Also, it displays the leadership skills you present through the journey.
  6. Unique characteristics and style of yourself bring out a ton. Input some of yourself into your work, as well as passion! This is stated above, but also is one of the things we look for.
  7. Lastly, be yourself! We don’t want you to be influenced by others to change a special aspect of yourself. Be yourself throughout your journey up the ranks, as this helps us find what you really are and what you’re capable of.

What You DON’T Want to Do

Firstly, you should never beg to be promoted. It lowers your chances of becoming one of us and shows your reputation and character of how you are. If you annoy us to free rank, it’s something we don’t expect from our team, and people who are working to accomplish becoming a part of the Management Team. Summary: don’t ask for attention. Activity levels assist us on how well you’ll be able to support people’s needs and supervise the library, so it should be consistent amounts each day. A bad example of this is working 10 hours for one day thinking that’ll be enough to be promoted. Though, this shows little activity throughout a week/month/year. We don’t look for activity levels on 10 hours each day, we look for consistent activity levels. Preferably 1-2 hours each day or an amount you think is good enough. Thus, this puts you up for consideration. Don’t spread rumors about being “aesthetic” to achieve a higher role, this isn’t true and it will never be. Lastly, don’t act like a Management Personnel when working. Examples include standing AFK in front of the librarian desks, pretending to ban others when help is needed, etc. We can tell you know what we do, but your job is different than ours. So, it’s best to incorporate your objective rather than going into other objectives you’ll find out along the way. It’s fine if you aid others, just don’t impersonate Middle Ranks.
