Describe the bug. Describe what is happening when the bug occurs. Describe what you would normally expect to occur. At first, ROBLOX Studio will begin to function normally. However, eventually, the player’s camera will begin to move EXTREMELY slowly as if they are continuously holding down a slower version of shift movement. As well, whenever you click on an item, and then click on another item, it will ALWAYS select both items (regardless of whether you are holding down shift or ctrl or anything), and the only way to stop selecting one is to click the item again. This bug will continue to occur until you go click on a new tab or browser, and then click back into Studio.
How often does the bug happen (Everytime/sometimes/rarely)? What are the steps that reproduce the bug? Please list them in very high detail. Provide simple example places that exhibit the bug and provide description of what you believe should be the behavior. The bug tends to happen every 2-15 minutes. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any steps that reproduce the bug, as it appears to just occur randomly after I tried finding a source through multiple different means (none triggered the event).
Where does the bug happen (www, gametest, etc) Is it level-specific? Is it game specific? Please post a link to the place that exhibits the issue. The bug simply happens on any server of ROBLOX Studio as far as I am aware.
When did the bug start happening? If we can tie it to a specific release that helps us figure out what we broke. Personally, I only began experiencing this bug around two days ago.
If I could provide more information about the bug than what is shown above, I would. This, sadly, is all I know.
P.S.: If anyone else out there has happened to encounter this bug before, please say so in the comments below. Any sources of other people with this bug and any potential leads on what may cause it would be helpful.
UPDATE 1: The Trigger function of the bug has been found! The bug appears whenever you copy and paste particles, blocks, or any other item into multiple parts at a time!
Happens to me too, really often as well. Extremely annoying & distracting.
Also whilst this bug is happening, scrolling to move around doesn’t work either. Scaling works as if shift is pressed down.
This has also been happening to me, starting two days ago. If I wait and click on a blank area of the baseplate multiple times it is fixed, but I also have no idea what is causing it.
Can confirm, has been happening to me since yesterday (when the update was pushed). It’s really annoying, and it does seem that studio isn’t registering the release of ctrl/shift. Running some key input tests told so too.
This problem has no escalated to where parts will sometimes mirror scale (extend equal directions when Ctrl is pressed), but I did not press Ctrl. A quick undo gets rid of the glitch, but it should also be made aware of.
I seem to experience this issue anytime I try to change the name of a Part.
If I happen to push the shift key while changing the name of a part my camera will slow down the camera speed, and it will act as if the key is stuck holding shift. Then I have to re-hit the shift key to fix the problem. Sometimes I’ll find myself selecting multiple parts naming a selection of parts with the same name (not intentionally). Very frustrating.
