Can I rig a character made of MeshParts?

I am currently thinking about making a monster NPC (with Humanoid inside of it) with animations. I know that you can create custom characters with Parts and stuff.

My question is can I make an NPC (with Humanoid and Animations) that has MeshParts as his limbs?
