Can I use the word "Discord" in my game

That is because only 13+ users can see the links.

Well I’m not so sure about that. It could count as a bypass, since it’s still connected to Discord in a way.

I’m really not sure, I was only mentioning the direct links below

Not really, I have seen a lot of groups doing this and if it was a bypass they would be banned.

Roblox moderation is… not the best. There’s games with 18+ content not banned so… does that justify it?

You can’t use another person’s wrongdoings to justify yours being right. Report those games. Discord is not allowed outside of where Roblox allows you to mention it, the only place being using social links. Don’t try circumventing that, don’t do it at all. Just put the invite link in the social links.

The simple answer is no, as other’s have already said. This is to prevent users under the required age of 13 from using platforms like that. They filtered it for that reason. The only way Roblox really lets us use Discord on the platform is via social links. These can be seen by anyone who is over the age of 13.

But by trying to say the word Discord in game it does classify as bypass. I hope this clarifies.

As a side question to this, if the text about Discord has (13+) in it, is it allowed?

My game has “Join the Discord server for game updates (13+)”
Is that not allowed either?

You’re still mentioning Discord, which the point is to not, and this could encourage kids to make a 13+ account which is bad.

Would be off site advertising.

But social links do exactly that?

Right, however Roblox only shows them to 13+ users. <13 doesn’t see it.

Oh I didnt know that, thank you!

So groups with 100k members are still up they do that, I am confused on what Is going on.

People aren’t reporting! That is why. Roblox doesn’t police content.

I’m pretty sure if a group with 100k+ members or 10k+ members plus there would be random reports.

But still, why exactly does that justify anything if it says not to do it in the ToS?

Nothing, I’m replying to peoples replies on this post.

The thing is that users Under 13 cannot even see the Social Links options. If your account is Above 13, you can see Social Links & join Social Media type websites. Unfortunately, roblox censors Discord & doesn’t allow it to be said because Discord requires users to be 13 or above that in order to be in their website & it isn’t really for kids lower then that. Discord is not a child’s website to be in.

You can’t post Discord or another links that requires a minimum age of 13+. You can insert a link for a group or clothes in Roblox in your game, but you can’t post a link to YouTube channel or a Discord server invite, inicially for the <13 players security.

YouTube links and channel names are allowed, they are whitelisted and okay to be linked on the platform. Discord isn’t. Discord, outside of the Social Media tab, is blanket banned on Roblox. Can’t mention it anywhere directly or indirectly, nor use whitelisted links to bypass a link to a Discord location.
