I’m not asking for an increase in shadow render distance, but instead a change in how shadows tween away at the border of the distance.
Right now shadows get blacker before going away completely. It gives an ugly pop on all heavily shaded transparent assets like Trees.
I’d love for the shadow to instead fade away. It’d eliminate most of this “pop” and be a lot more subtle to the eye.
This would be a massive help to any map going towards the realism style, which is now becoming more and more possible thanks to the latest engine additions.
